Melissa Gorga rejects Teresa Giudice's "strange" peace offering, says "the door has been closed"

The Real Housewives of New Jersey star, Melissa Gorga, is confused about Teresa Giudice's "strange" peace offering. Melissa joined the reality show in 2011 and is married to Giuseppe "Joe" Gorga, Teresa's brother. Both Melissa and Teresa have been on The Real Housewives of New Jersey for more than a decade, and over the years, there have been some falling outs between the co-stars/family members.

During Page Six's "Virtual Reali-Tea" Awards, Gorga told both Evan Real and Danny Murphy (hosts):

"The truth is, for the last year, the door has been closed."

Melissa recalled how her sister-in-law has made it known that the "door is closed," and is now confused as to why she is trying to make peace. In Gorga's words:

"[Giudice] has said out loud on multiple platforms, podcasts, whatever it might be, that the door is closed. So, the truth is, I’m just confused why it might be opening or cracking a little bit."

She further explained why Giudice's peace offering felt like it came out of the blue. Melissa Gorga elaborated:

"Neither of us have had any contact in probably two years at this point, so that's just so strange to come out with that out of nowhere."

Teresa Giudice also spoke about her relationship with her brother, Joe Giudice, and his wife, Melissa Gorga, during an appearance on Jeff Lewis Live.

The 53-year-old reality star was asked if there was a possibility of a reconciliation and if they could "co-exist" again, to which she replied:

"Never say never."

Gia Giudice, Teresa's daughter, was also on the show, and she added:

"I think everyone can co-exist. Just put your 'big girl' panties on and be mature... I think the viewers would wanna see that, too... I think there’s nothing more [to fight over] just because it's been going on for so long. So, obviously, they’re gonna wanna see some sort of resolution."

Melissa Gorga's speculation about Teresa Giudice's "peace offering"

During her sit-down with Evan Real and Danny Murphy, Melissa also pointed out how Teresa's "peace offering" came at a very coincidental time while big changes are happening on their show, The Real Housewives of New Jersey. The reality show is revamping its cast after the season 14 finale.

There are reports that The Real Housewives of New Jersey have started filming without Teresa. Additionally, a source revealed that "potential new cast members" have started filming with Melissa Gorga and a few other previous cast members because the producers wanted:

"to see how the new girls work on camera."

However, this does not mean that Teresa Giudice is out of the show. The source added that she is:

"still in consideration to be part of the new season."
