Netflix just pulled off a crossover no one saw coming: pairing the adorable tiger plush from KPop Demon Hunters with Wednesday Addams' mischievous sidekick, Thing. And when such surprises happen, fans take no time in flooding all their love.
Both projects are Netflix hits with global fans. KPop Demon Hunters is an animated movie, following a girl group Huntrix. Unlike typical K-pop idols, these three girls are demon hunters at night, tasked with protecting the Honmoon and the world.
Whereas Tim Burton's Wednesday follows the iconic character Wednesday Addams, who attends Nevermore after attending multiple schools. The institution welcomes only Outcasts, individuals with supernatural powers and abilities.
The Instagram post brought these two worlds together in the most unexpected way. The tiger plush sat confidently beside Thing, as if they’d been teaming up for years. It's cute, creepy, and oddly wholesome all at once.

Netflix Korea brings Kpop Demon Hunters and Wednesday together in an Instagram post
Netflix Korea didn’t just share an image. They created a mini cultural crossover that fans could not stop discussing. The two-slide post highlighted KPop Demon Hunters’ favorite tiger stuffed animal, Derpy, sitting in casual style next to Wednesday’s iconic sidekick, Thing.
Both were Oxford blue colored against the atmospheric goth set background, and fans immediately appreciated the juxtaposition. The first slide was simple: Derpy and Thing (wearing Derpy's cap) side-by-side, like two VIPs posing for a photo at an event.
But the second slide cranked up the fun. This time around, Thing did a cheeky little V sign while Derpy just gave a cool, green face, all with the effervescent KPop Demon Hunters song "Soda Pop." The poppy song was a splash of color and verve into an otherwise shadowy scene, a cute and creepy pastel collision.
Netflix Korea capped things off with the caption, "Welcome to South Korea, Hong," evoking Wednesday Korea’s promotional efforts. Followers didn’t just like and double-tap. They filled the comments with heart emojis, crossover memes, and quips about needing an actual team-up.
In a few hours, the post had brought both fandoms together in conversation, showing that once again, Netflix knows just how to get everybody talking.
Fans are loving the Kpop Demon Hunters and Wednesday mashup
Fans couldn’t hide their excitement over seeing Derpy and Thing together. While some mentioned their KPop and gothic taste reunited, some loved the way the two iconic characters posed together.
A fan wrote:
"Spooky besties serving creepy-cute vibes"

Another one mentioned their tastes reunited and wrote:
"OMG My gothic and Kpop tastes reunited."

Since each fan has at least one Saja Boy as their favorite, a fan also commented, asking Thing about his favorite:
"Thing, who's your favorite Saja Boy?"

One fan creatively wrote a line that Jinu says in KPop Demon Hunters while introducing Sussy, who took the hat Jinu made for Derpy. The comment reads:
"I made it for the tiger, but the hand keeps taking it."

Another fan called the two character besties, and wrote:
"About time Thing and Derpy Tiger became besties for life."

Since this was a completely unexpected and interesting collaboration, one user mentioned what might happen if the Gothic Queen meets the Saja Boys. The comment reads:
"I wonder what will happen if Wednesday meets Saja Boys."

Will she fall in love with them or call them out for being so handsome and fine? After all, it's Wednesday Addams, and you should expect the most unexpected from her.
Overall, the reactions show just how much excitement this moment has brought to fans. From nostalgic throwbacks to playful theories, the post has sparked plenty of joy across social media platforms.
Both KPop Demon Hunters and Wednesday, Season 1 & 2 are available on Netflix.
