Aaron Phypers claims Denise Richards cheated amid ongoing divorce and abuse allegations

As the divorce between Denise Richards and Aaron Phypers grows more public, new claims are emerging; this time, from Phypers, who alleges the actress was unfaithful earlier this year.

In a July 19 virtual interview with TMZ, Aaron Phypers said he discovered what he believes was evidence of Denise Richards' alleged infidelity through her laptop.

According to him, the device contained messages between the actress and another man, including selfies and exchanges like "sweet dreams," along with discussions about meeting up.

Phypers claimed the texts were from the beginning of 2024. After confronting Richards, he said the couple initially chose to stay together.

Denise Richards alleges Aaron Phypers caused "at least three concussions," more in explosive court documents

The cheating allegation follows Denise Richards’ own accusation of physical abuse, which she detailed in court filings earlier this week. The actress made serious abuse allegations against her estranged husband, claims that Aaron Phypers has strongly denied.

Days after Phypers filed for divorce on July 7, just after a reported fight on July 4, Richards was granted a temporary restraining order.

In court documents, Richards described repeated instances of physical abuse throughout their six-year marriage.

"Aaron would frequently violently choke me, violently squeeze my head with both hands, tightly squeeze my arms, violently slap me in my face and head, aggressively slam my head into the bathroom towel rack, threaten to kill me, hold me down with his knee on my back to the point where I would have to plead with him to get off me so that he would not kill me and hack into my laptop and phone and download all of my text messages.”

The Wild Things actress also claimed:

“Aaron regularly threatened to ‘break my jaw’ and would cry, beg me to stay, and promise to get help — none of which ever happened.”

Richards submitted photos showing visible injuries, including a swollen, bruised eye, to support her request for protection. She further alleged that Phypers caused her “at least three concussions” and that she had previously refrained from reporting the abuse because:

“he has repeatedly threatened to kill himself and me if I reported him to the police, among his other threats of harm to me and himself if he is reported for his abuse to anyone.”

Aaron Phypers has denied all allegations of physical abuse. In a statement shared with People, Phypers firmly pushed back against the accusations:

"I want to address recent rumors and speculation that have surfaced regarding my relationship with my wife, Denise Richards.”

He went on:

"Let me be unequivocally clear: I have never physically or emotionally abused Denise — or anyone. These accusations are completely false and deeply hurtful.”

In his statement, Phypers acknowledged the couple had difficulties, but emphasized the alleged abuse as “categorically untrue.”

He continued:

“I have always tried to approach our marriage with love, patience, and respect.”

Concluding his statement, Aaron Phypers asked for privacy and hoped the public and media would avoid spreading harmful and unfounded claims.

The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills couple married in 2018. Phypers filed for divorce on July 7, days before Richards was granted a temporary restraining order.

As of July 19, legal representatives for both Richards and Phypers have not responded to further requests for comment.
