As per a recent article by US Weekly, former manager of the New England Patriots, Bill Belichick, gave a shout-out to his beloved girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, in his new book, The Art of Winning: Lessons from my life in Football. The new book has already caught eyeballs even before being published.

“This book is about how I did my job, and lessons from my 50 years in and around the NFL — not a bathroom book that highlights my mistakes.” Belichick told NFL News

As per an advanced copy of the book reviewed by The Athletic, Belichick referred to Johnson as his 'idea mill and creative muse.' As per US Weekly, these five words are the only mention of Hudson in the book.

Bill Belichick is regarded as the greatest professional football coach of all time. He coached the New England Patriots of the National Football League for 24 seasons, during which the team managed to grab six Super Bowl titles. Belichick parted ways with the Patriots in January 2024 after losing two seasons simultaneously.

Belichick's book The Art of Winning: Lessons from my life in Football is about valuable lessons about excellence and leadership that Belichick has learned through his extensive career. While he has mentioned Hudson briefly in his book, there is no mention of some characters from Belichick's past, who were pretty scandalous, like Robert Kraft or people from the Aaron Hernandez murder trial.

CBS Monday Morning controversy

During a recent interview on CBS' Monday Morning, Bill Belichick was caught up in a controversy.

On being asked about raising the question of how Belichick and Hudson met each other, Hudson, who was sitting behind the camera, interrupted in between and said, 'We are not talking about this.' The interview was being conducted by journalist Tony Dokoupil.

While Belichick was adamant that it was decided beforehand that the questions of the interview would stick around the release of Belichick's latest book, The Art of Winning: Lessons from my life in Football, and mentioned that it was quite surprising for him that questions were being asked about his personal life.

"I was surprised when unrelated topics were introduced, and I repeatedly expressed to the reporter, Tony Dokoupil, and the producers that I preferred to keep that conversation centered on the book,” Belichick told US Weekly. “After this occurred several times, Jordon, with whom I share both a personal and professional relationship, stepped in to reiterate that point to help refocus the discussion.”

Belichick met 24-year-old Hudson on a flight in 2021. She was a college cheerleader. The 49-year age gap between the two has often been questioned, and the two have spoken about it in public as well.

To the allegations, CBS responded with a statement of its own, saying no such discussion took place between the parties, and they were free to ask questions.

"There were no preconditions or limitations to this conversation,” a CBS spokesperson told US Weekly. “This was confirmed repeatedly with his publisher before the interview took place and after it was completed.”

As per NBC Sports, Brandon Faber, the former vice president of communications for the Chicago Bears, has been speaking with Belichick "in the hopes of boosting his book tour and/or the overall interests of the North Carolina football program."
