Vanessa Marcil has been dealing with online hate targeted at her son, Kassius.

The actress, who shares her only child with Brian Austin Green, took to Instagram to post screenshots of her DMs. The pictures revealed Marcil’s interaction with a specific user, who talked about her son. Vanessa wrote in the post’s caption:

“[The user] is just one of many 'Christian' women who take time out of their thrilling day to tell me that my child is going to hell.”

Vanessa Marcil added:

“I have BLOOD family members who do the same, draped in passive aggressive fake kindness.”

Marcil admitted that she is not as mature as many hope her to be and continued:

“I have 100 percent had it with you fake Christians. I know real Christians and I know God. Jesus rejects you and your attacks on innocent and decent children and all marginalized people. Don’t involve Jesus in your hate. Jesus was a Jew who wore a skirt, had long hair and gave his last bite of food to poor people. Again, I’d say I just feel sad for you but I’m not that mature……”

Vanessa Marcil, who converted to Judaism in 2008 (per OK! Magazine), went on to discuss Jesus' teachings in the caption. The General Hospital actress emphasized the importance of loving others, practicing humility, refraining from judging others, and understanding the power of words.

While Vanessa Marcil didn’t have an ideal relationship with Kassius’ father, Brian Austin Green, they are seemingly on the same page when it comes to their son’s identity. The Beverly Hills, 90210 star spoke about Kassius during a 2023 appearance on the Frosted Tips with Lance Bass podcast.

Vanessa Marcil’s ex-partner, Brian Austin Green, previously spoke about their son coming out as gay

The Anger Management (TV series) actor was a guest on Frosted Tips with Lance Bass in October 2023, where he spoke about his personal and professional lives. During their conversation, Bass praised Green for being “open-minded” and the “coolest dad.”

Lance Bass, who came out as gay in 2006, spoke about Brian and Vanessa’s son Kassius. The singer-podcaster stated how Green's son was lucky to be a part of the Wedding Band actor’s family. Brian Austin Green replied:

“It's been fascinating. Like it's been… I've really, it's been a challenge, just because honestly it was, my son being gay, it was just, it was unknown for me. But I'm not… I think a lot of people are afraid of the unknown, whereas I'm not. To me, it's intriguing and I wanna learn about it.”

Brian Austin Green revealed how he communicated with Kassius and realized that it was simply just his son’s “choice of partner.” In his own words, the actor said:

“I would get into these conversations with Kass where it was like, I really wanted to understand the things that seemed so different to me at first. And then you realize like, ‘Oh, this isn't different at all. It's just your choice of partner and your, it doesn't affect me at all.’”

He concluded:

“That's the thing I'm always trying to beat into people now. It's like, it doesn't, it does not affect you.”

Kassius Lijah Marcil-Green, born in 2002, is the only son of Vanessa Marcil and Brian Austin Green. For the unversed, they got engaged in 2001 and were expected to marry soon, but parted ways in 2003.

Brian Austin Green later married Megan Fox, but they divorced in 2021. As of 2025, he is dating Sharna Burgess. The couple has been officially engaged since September 2023 and share a child.

Vanessa Marcil, who has been married twice, is in a relationship with her fiancé, MC Martin.
