Rapper Finesse2tymes, aka Ricky Hampton’s terroristic threat case dismissed on May 9, 2025. The roots of the case go back to October 2024, when the rapper allegedly made threats against the legal guardian of 11-year-old FNG King, a pre-teen artist who worked with Hampton.
The woman claimed that Hampton and his brother made disturbing threats to her outside a shop. Meanwhile, prosecutors sought a dismissal of the case, as there was no proof of the allegations beyond a certain point. As a result, the judge signed off on the deal.
To go back in time, police officials were called to the Will Clayton Parkway neighborhood where the incident happened. The arrest warrant, according to TMZ, states that the woman and King were at the smoke shop to get her grandchild. King was asked by Finesse2tymes to enter the place and have a word with him.
However, King reportedly came out of the shop, yelling that those people would send him back to Memphis. He got into the woman’s car, and at that moment, Finesse2tymes was asked not to approach the vehicle.
The rapper’s brother allegedly made a threat using a Memphis slang term for pulling a gun and tapped his waistband. Finesse2tymes also allegedly shouted threats, including saying that she would be killed on camera.
The woman quickly left the area with the children. She later told police that the rapper could follow through on his threats.
Finesse2tymes reportedly violated his probation terms
In a statement to TMZ, the rapper’s lawyer, Carl A. Moore, said Hampton did not make any threatening remarks to King’s legal guardian. Moore added:
“We are confident this matter will be resolved justly once the state of Texas applies the applicable law to the facts.”
Besides that, the rapper was reportedly involved in a fight with his partner’s mother. According to HotNewHipHop, Finesse2tymes went on an Instagram Live rant targeting his girlfriend’s mother, blaming her and FNG King for his expected arrest. He accused the woman of filing charges against him and claimed he and his brother, Lil Ju, were wrongly dragged into the situation.
He also claimed that King had told authorities everything happening at his house. In response, King showed no support for the rapper and reminded him that it was his own actions that caused the legal trouble, pointing out that he had violated his probation.
King clarified he was done addressing the issue and had no interest in continuing the back-and-forth. As seen in a video, King said:
“How did a ni**a make you violate your probation, bro? Like, just just tell me. If you tell me, I will cut all my hair off. Just tell me. I have been gone away from around you, six eight months, but you violated your own probation. I ain’t making no more videos about you.”
On May 3, 2025, Finesse2tymes took to his social media to inform that he violated his probation. He breached his release conditions after the terroristic threat incidents and also when he flunked two drug tests.
The rapper was in jail for firearm possession, but he was released in 2022 and was placed on probation.
