Rapper Bow Wow, aka Shad Gregory Moss, wants Chris Brown to be released from jail. As seen in a video posted by the X account “No Jumper” on May 17, 2025, he shared he was overwhelmed by something that triggered his anxiety.
To calm himself down, he decided to take a break and go to the movies, something he hadn’t done in a long time. He also expressed support for Breezy, repeating the phrase “Free Breezy” several times. Moss said,
“You know, my man went over to Manchester to start rehearsal for the tour, for The Breezy Bowl, and you know, I won’t let my dog be great but one thing I do know, he’ll be out in no time and back doing what you do best.”
The tour also included the artists Summer Walker and Bryson Tiller. Moss went on,
“Like I said, that my dog ain’t bothered, nobody. That man been out the media, the press, for a minute. You know, that mean he just want to tour, please his fans, and take care of his kids. I mean life is so simple, really is, so shoutout to my boy Brown. Hold your head and we got you.”
Chris Brown was taken into custody for a 2023 incident at a nightclub, where he reportedly hit music producer Abe Diaw with a tequila bottle. The altercation took place at the Tape club in London’s Mayfair area.
He was arrested at Salford's Lowry Hotel while on his Breezy Bowl XX Tour and was later formally charged. Following his arrest, he was denied bond and is set to remain in custody until June 2025.
During his court appearance, Joanne Hirst, the District Judge, said the case would be transferred to London's Southwark Crown Court. The judge explained that the charges related to the case were beyond the magistrates' court's purview. The next hearing is scheduled for June 13, 2025.
Bow Wow and Chris Brown released a single Use Me, in 2025
This year, Bow Wow and Chris Brown released a single Use Me. When Shannon Sharpe asked him how the collab came about while chatting on the Club Shay Hay podcast, he explained that Chris had pushed him to keep releasing music, telling him he was young and talented and shouldn’t slow down.
At the time, Bow Wow said he was focused on his legacy and didn’t feel the need to compete, but Chris disagreed and encouraged him to stay active in the industry.
Moss admitted he told Chris Brown he needed his help and support to move forward. Chris agreed and told him he had his back. After receiving the track from Hitmaka, Bow Wow immediately recorded his part, knowing it was the right move.
Chris Brown told him there was one more person to involve, and to make it happen, Bow Wow would need to spend time with him. Despite all that, Chris Brown stayed true to his word.
They recorded the track together at Chris’s place, in the same studio room, with no issues. Bow Wow felt that’s exactly how a real friend should come through when one needed support.
