Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey made headlines ahead of the London premiere of Jurassic World Rebirth.

According to a clip shared by Getty Images Entertainment, co-stars greeted each other with a kiss on the green carpet before sharing a hug. Johansson and Bailey then posed for the cameras with Rupert Friend, Mahershala Ali, and the movie’s director, Gareth Edwards.

The pictures of the moment shared by the co-actors later went viral on social media.

For those unaware, Jonathan Bailey has been openly gay since 2018 but has remained private about his romantic life. While there is little to no information about whom the Bridgerton star has been dating right now, he confirmed his relationship in 2023. Without revealing the name of his boyfriend, Bailey told the Evening Standard that he has been dating a “lovely man.”

Addressing why he avoided name-dropping his partner, Jonathan Bailey told the newspaper,

“It's not secret, but it's private. Having a private life is, for me, completely critical. I don't know if I would be able to be as confident to speak out on other things if I felt that my whole life was up for grabs.”

The Fellow Travelers actor had previously shared his concerns regarding opening up about his s*xuality and what stopped him from publicly coming out as gay for a longer period. In a 2022 GQ interview, Bailey recalled advice someone gave his actor friend.

“At the time he was told, ‘There's two things we don't want to know: if you're an alcoholic or if you're gay.’ All it takes is for one of those people in that position of power to say that, and it ripples through. So, yeah, of course I thought that. Of course I thought that in order to be happy I needed to be straight.”

He added,

“I reached a point where I thought, F*ck this, I'd much prefer to hold my boyfriend's hand in public or be able to put my own face picture on Tinder and not be so concerned about that than getting a part.”

Jonathan Bailey was rumored to be in a relationship with James Ellis in 2019

The Wicked star has refrained from speaking anything about his current relationship status since the confirmation he gave in 2023. However, Jonathan Bailey was once rumored to be dating James Ellis. The pair sat beside one another at the 2019 Olivier Awards, and the camera panned on James when the nominees for “Best Actor in a Supporting Role in a Musical” were announced.

After Jonathan Bailey was announced as the winner, he shared an affectionate kiss with Ellis and embraced him before heading to the stage to collect the trophy. His acceptance speech was focused on speaking about LGBTQ and how the company worked towards normalizing their perception. Bailey said,

As mentioned, Jonathan Bailey started speaking about his gay identity in 2018. However, he was seemingly exploring his s*xuality during his 20s, per a British Vogue interview from December last year. Bailey claimed that he dated a girl before he came out as gay to his close friends and family. The English actor also revealed that the girl remained one of his best friends.
