Is Raye single? Relationship rumors explored as British singer says her new song could help her find a husband

Two months back, British singer Raye released her song WHERE IS MY HUSBAND!. She was also a recent guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. As they spoke, Fallon asked:

“Have you figured out the answer to that question yet?”

The songstress said:

“Oh, no. Do you know what's funny? I really thought this song would speed along the process rapidly, but in fact, no, it hasn't helped at all.”

However, Raye mentioned:

“You know, I think it has helped a lot of other people's marriages, which I'm really happy about for them.”

Nevertheless, it did not help her. Raye said that it was a lot of self-love for her, calling it the chapter of ‘self-love.’ She recently told British Vogue that she had been single for some time. She mentioned:

“I’ve been single for so long. My last devastating break-up was four, five years ago. I was like, ‘I'm gonna marry him.’ We was together for two years and it ended up not working out.”

Looking back at Raye’s relationship rumors

There were rumors in 2018 that Raye was involved with Drake. An insider said that the Canadian rapper was impressed by her songwriting skills. They claimed:

“It’s early days but the pair have already been out on a string of dates, with Drake taking her to his favourite restaurant, Nobo Berkeley in central London.”

Another rumor circulated in 2022 that she was allegedly involved with English singer Sam Fender. There were also speculations that she was in a relationship with Lewis Hamilton. However, Raye dismissed those claims that Hamilton was a good friend of hers. She added that there was no romance between them.

Speaking about sitting beside Anna Wintour at an event, the singer praised the former Vogue editor-in-chief, saying that she was nervous at the time. She said she was not the chicest and fashion-forward person:

“You know, the fashion world, people are just very sophisticated. And so, I was a bit scared. But actually, I was so pleasantly surprised because she's actually so lovely. And I asked her what kind of music she was listening to at the moment. And she told me she's listening to Bad Bunny.”

Raye said that the first song she wrote in childhood was a funny incident. She said she basically stole a song from a TV show and changed the lyrics. She named it Nothing is as white as Snow. She said that although the music was good, the lyrics were not. She then told her father that she wrote a song, and she thought her father would compliment her genius. Raye said:

“I actually stole the song from the TV show and took all the credit for it.”

She added:

“Sampling is actually a songwriting art. So actually, I was kind of right, you know? I was kind of on the right lines from that age.”

Jimmy Fallon mentioned that Raye will also release a new album soon, but she said the name of the new album has not yet been decided. Discussing her career plans, the songstress said that she would like to stay in the music for the next ten to fifteen years, and after that, she would open a jazz club.
