“It’s so much fun” - Ana de Armas breaks silence on working with Tom Cruise following relationship speculation

Ana de Armas shares that she is indeed working on a few projects with actor Tom Cruise. The confirmation comes after Ana de Armas and Cruise were spotted together in London, which reportedly led to dating rumors. She also shared her excitement about the upcoming projects.

Ana de Armas is a popular Spanish and Cuban actress, known to many via her role in the 2019 movie Knives Out. She has also made appearances in movies like Deep Water, No Time to Die, etc. For her role in the Marilyn Monroe autobiographical movie, Blonde (2022), de Armas received an Oscar nomination.

Tom Cruise is an American actor known for his roles in movies like Top Gun, A Few Good Men, Mission: Impossible, etc. He is the winner of multiple prestigious awards, including an Honorary Palme d’Or. He is also known for his difficult stunt performances in movies.

On May 15, Ana de Armas shared about her future projects with the Edge of Tomorrow star on Good Morning America. She was answering host Michael Strahan, who directly asked her if she was collaborating with Cruise, People Magazine reported.

de Armas replied that,

"It’s so much fun. We're definitely working on a lot of things. Not just one but a few projects with Doug Liman and Christopher McQuarrie and, of course, Tom. And I'm so excited."

According to People Magazine, Doug Liman, whom de Armas mentioned in her answer, is a director who worked with Tom Cruise on various projects, like Edge of Tomorrow and American Made. Though Deadline reported that Liman mentioned a supernatural thriller movie starring Cruise back in December, there are no details on the project involving the two actors. McQuarrie also worked with Cruise in movies like Mission: Impossible.

Ana de Armas appeared on Good Morning America to promote her action movie From the World of John Wick: Ballerina.

Ana de Armas was spotted with Tom Cruise at Square Mile, London, after having dinner on February 13. According to People Magazine, the two even posed for photos with fans before taking a taxi together. This landed the two of them in a dating scandal.

The magazine further reported at the time, citing a source, that actors and their agents were having dinner together to discuss the possibility of a collaboration. The source, as per People Magazine, further shared that the two were just friends and “appeared to have no romantic connection.” They were also seen together multiple times. Recently, the two were seen leaving together from David Beckham’s birthday party in May, per People.

Now, de Armas herself has, in a way, shared that she does have a project with Tom Cruise.
