As per recent news reports, actor Josh Hartnett was recently taken to the hospital after his car collided with a police vehicle in Newfoundland.
On September 25, Thursday, the actor was sitting in a car that was being driven by a 59-year-old man when it collided with Royal Newfoundland Constabulary patrol car, as per CBC reports.
Hartnett was in St. John's for filming of a Netflix series. He was heading home at the time. The untitled Netflix Newfoundland series also stars Mackenzie Davis, Charlie Heaton, Natasha Henstridge, Ruby Stokes, Joshua Close, and Rohan Campbell.
Following minor injuries, the actor, his driver, and the police vehicle officer were sent to the hospital.
“RNC collision analysts are seeking any witnesses or video footage (CCTV, dash-camera, cell phone) from the area in the lead up to, or immediately following the collision.” the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary said.
Both cars were severely damaged in the junction incident, and Hartnett's representative Susan Patricola has confirmed that he has subsequently been allowed to return to work after being discharged from the hospital.
According to Josh Hartnett's representative, the actor has already returned to work after being released from the hospital, as reported by Deadline. The production was unaffected by the incident, she added.
In the six-episode Netflix series, a hard-bitten fisherman (Josh Hartnett) must battle to save "his family, his community, and his vanishing way of life" against a mystery sea creature that is terrorizing a secluded town in Newfoundland.
In M. Night Shyamalan's Trap, Hartnett most recently performed the lead role of a frightening serial murderer. He drew inspiration for the role from the highest levels of society.
‘There are a lot of CEOs, politicians, people in our business… a lot of people who are at the top."
‘"They don’t mind stepping over people or doing horrible things to get where they’re going, and not having any empathy is a pretty big sign of being a psychopath." Josh Hartnett said in an interview.
