Russell Wilson reveals that Ciara and he helped plan Coco Jones and Donovan Mitchell’s engagement

Singer Coco Jones is now betrothed to basketball player Donovan Mitchell. On July 11, the singer shared a photo of the two kissing on Instagram. Although she didn’t caption the post, one can see a ring flashing on her left hand.

Meanwhile, football quarterback Russell Wilson shared a photo on his Instagram story, writing that he and his wife, Ciara, were happy for the couple. Tagging Jones and Donovan Mitchell, Wilson wrote:

“Thanks for allowing us to plan this with you Spida with @west2eastluxe.”

Donovan Mitchell also shared the same photo of him and Jones sharing a kiss, but he also posted a video, presumably from the engagement day. The video showed a resort with beach chairs beside a swimming pool.

According to People Magazine, the news of their engagement comes two years after they began dating. Meanwhile, insiders told the outlet:

“After an amazing season and a sold-out tour, Donovan Mitchell and Coco Jones took a moment to recharge on vacation, which turned it into a beautiful engagement. The couple has been dating for two years and look forward to building a life together.”

In April 2025, Coco Jones appeared on The Breakfast Club podcast, where she was teased about discussing her new partner in recent interviews. Loren Lorosa asked if the person was Donovan Mitchell, to which Jones replied:

“I am happy and that’s all I got to say about it. I mean, you already know this.”

Coco Jones said she did not like to share more than what she felt like saying. She said she was not the type to give details about her private life. She said:

“I give as much as I can and I give my everything when it comes to music sh*t.”

When Shannon Sharpe asked about the rumor between her and Donovan Mitchell, Coco Jones asked him to clarify the rumor. Sharpe mentioned instances when the couple were seen holding hands and wearing matching outfits. Saying it was hilarious, the singer mentioned:
