Streamer Kai Cenat and singer Ciara Princess Wilson had an interesting moment while posing for the paparazzi at the 2025 AMAs red carpet. Cenat went ahead first to pose for photos, and while he continued for a while, Ciara made her entry.
As seen in a video posted by FearBuck on X, as soon as the singer went up, all the photographers shifted their attention to her. Social media users took notice of this episode, and many mocked the streamer. One X user reshared the video, writing,
“Streamers/influencers think they’re celebs —until actual celebs show up.”
Netizens argued that Wilson stole the spotlight, while others suggested that Kai Cenat read his chat when he checked his phone on the red carpet.
“Kai got humbled in 4K by an R&B side quest,” a social media user noted.
“She stole his glaze moment,” a netizen reacted.
“Bro is on the red carpet reading chat,” an online commentator claimed.
Many X users criticised Kai Cenat’s “glaze me” moment at the red carpet, but others suggested that he would be the next top streamer.
“‘Glaze me’ is a crazy thing to just keep repeating,” a media user wrote.
“On the red carpet saying "Glaze me"? Ni**a was thinking out loud. The Aura difference once she showed up was crazy,” a netizen remarked.
“Kai’s energy on the red carpet is unmatched—‘Glaze me’ all night! But let’s be real, Ciara’s entrance stole the show,” a platform user argued.
“If you considered streaming number, Isn't Kai a bigger star?” another X user asked.
SZA on Kai Cenat’s Streamer University and the streamer’s difficult interaction with a guest at the award ceremony
In another video circulating on X, Kai Cenat was seen interacting with Ciara before heading to the red carpet. He greeted her, asking her how she was and saying that he was pleased to see her. The two then hugged, and the singer said she was also pleased to see him.
Meanwhile, SZA gave a shoutout to Kai Cenat upon receiving the AMA award for the favorite female R&B artist, after the streamer announced her name as the awardee. SZA said:
“Tell them about Streamer University. Congrats to Kai.”
While announcing the award for the favorite female R&B artist with co-presenter Alix Earle, Cenat said,
“As music lovers, we both know great artists have always been somewhat of the most important influencers of all time. You know, the American Music Award for favorite female R&B artist has gone to so many influential legends like tonight's AMA icon Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey, Rihanna, and Beyonce.”
Meanwhile, at the award ceremony, the streamer seemed to have a difficult encounter with an attendee. Cenat interacted with the person’s daughter, but his mood changed as soon as the person said,
“Where’s Kanye at? We want to say we love Ye. We love Ye for being outspoken regardless because it’s America and I think it’s a great thing to live in a free country. Don’t you, Kai? I think it’s a free country.”
Kai Cenat responded to the guest, pointing out how influential his platform was and questioning why he would say something controversial. When the guest tried to portray it as an ordinary conversation, Kai said he wanted to protect his peace and respectfully asked the person to leave.
