Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is again in the limelight after the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department opened a new investigation. He has been reported for sexually assaulting someone in 2020. According to ABC News, the victim has been identified as Jonathan Hay through social media posts, who is also a music producer. However, the posts have since been removed, and the official complaint lists the victim as “John Doe.”Florida’s Largo Police Department sent a report about this case to investigators on November 14. The report states that in February 2020, Diddy allegedly took part in self-pleasuring activities while Hay was in front of him during a promotional shoot in Los Angeles. The rapper then allegedly asked Hay to participate, but he declined, as the request came off as shocking. After that, Combs allegedly threw a shirt stained with sexual fluid at him. Hay later submitted a report to the Largo Police Department in September 2025.According to Hay, he had initially chosen to remain anonymous in his July 2025 lawsuit. However, he later revealed his identity after other lawsuits against Diddy surfaced. Speaking to Fox 13, he said:“As a man, being violated like that was the most traumatizing thing I’ve ever been through.”Diddy’s legal representatives told TMZ:“Mr. Combs will not back down. He will fight for as long as necessary to win his full vindication.” View this post on Instagram Instagram PostNew probe against Diddy: C.J. Wallace files countersuit against Hay and former public defender Brian Buckmire’s opinions exploredHay also mentioned another incident that took place in March 2021. He alleged that, at the time, actor and entrepreneur C.J. Wallace escorted him to a location where Diddy allegedly performed fellatio on him. Hay had been collaborating with Wallace on a music project at the time. Following these allegations, Wallace filed a countersuit against Hay, asserting that the claims were false and intended to defame him.Speaking to ABC News, author and former public defender Brian Buckmire was asked to share his thoughts on how the victim has been identified in the case. While the official paperwork lists the complainant as “John Doe,” social media reports named the person as Jonathan Hay. Buckmire said:“So, the only impact that I can see on this investigation will now be that law enforcement would know who to speak with, but he already reached out to law enforcement in Florida that's been working in conjunction with LA where the alleged crime has occurred. And so, the impact of him making notice that he also has a civil case doesn't really affect one or the other.”He also speculated:“If anything, it affects the potential civil case because with a typical civil case, you just have a lawyers doing the investigation. Now you have the full force and power of the LAPD doing part of the investigation and their criminal investigation could help create more information that he could go forward in a civil case.”Brian Buckmire noted that since Diddy is already in prison, both the current lawsuit and the countersuit may “sit in limbo” for a while. The case is being investigated by the Special Victims Bureau of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
