In an "unusual" move by People Magazine, the publication deleted a story on June 11 about Olivia Munn's comments about YouTuber Ms Rachel. In an exclusive interview with the entertainment outlet on June 8, Munn reportedly talked about her preferences for children's shows. She noted that the shows "drive" her crazy and she wouldn't let her children watch them, per the Washington Post. She revealed she was not a fan of "Ms Rachel", "Blue's Clues", or "Spider-Man."
The interview reportedly drew significant negative attention, including threats being made to Munn and her family. People issued a statement and removed the story titled,
“Olivia Munn Doesn’t Let Her Kids Watch Ms. Rachel. Here’s Why”
The outlet explained that they took the "step" due to,
"the violent threats that escalated towards the interview subject (Munn) and her family. There is no excuse for these abhorrent attacks, and we will always prioritize safety above all else."
The move came after Munn reportedly took to her Instagram stories on June 10 to address Ms Rachel and her "fans." She explained that she didn't "anticipate" media would take her opinions out of the "context."

Following Olivia Munn's interview with People, Ms Rachel had reportedly shot back "at the outlets" for taking things out of context. Even after the duo publicly addressed the issue, Munn reportedly continued to receive threats, which ultimately led the publication to remove the post.
In another attempt to support Munn, Ms Rachel took to her Instagram on June 12 and noted that she is not "canceling" someone and that Munn "shared an opinion" which is "fine" with. She addressed her fans and asked them to be "kind" towards Munn and added,
"As I said in my first post, this isn't about her. It's that I see scroll and see stories that don't matter while seeing that children's immeasurable suffering is being ignored."
She clarified that Munn and she had been in touch and had opted for "kindness." The internet was left divided in its support for two celebrities.
Olivia Munn's opinion about children's shows and her preference not to show them to her children reportedly triggered many Ms Rachel supporters. While People removed the story, Munn continued to receive negative messages about her and her family. According to The Independent, Olivia's husband, John Mulaney, took to his socials to defend his wife.
