According to a statement released to The New York Times by the actor’s publicist, Cindi Berger, Robert passed away peacefully in his sleep at his residence in Utah. Rogers & Cowan PMK CEO, Berger, said in a statement:
"Robert Redford passed away on Sept. 16, 2025, at his home at Sundance in the mountains of Utah — the place he loved, surrounded by those he loved."
Berger added:
"He will be missed greatly. The family requests privacy."
