Swifties and Directioners are spiralling after a handwritten Taylor Swift letter to Liam Payne (with her signature stationery and wax-sealed envelope) resurfaced for auction, reviving a surprisingly sweet exchange between the two megastars.

The personal note, dated "12.1.17," is up for grabs through Omega Auctions on Dec. 2, with the costing range of $6,500-$13,150. Per the auctioneer's website, Taylor Swift's letter was given to Liam Payne during the Jingle Bell Ball 2017 at the O2 Arena in London, where they both performed.

The Ball also featured performances by Payne's fellow One Direction star Niall Horan, Ed Sheeran, Demi Lovato, The Chainsmokers, The Wanter, Calvin Harris, and many more.

Swift wrote in her letter:

"Liam, Long time no see! I'm so excited for you, you're crushing it out there. I'm obsessed with ‘Bedroom Floor.’ It's so cool to see you from afar, I'm always cheering you on. Good luck tonight!"

The note was written on Taylor Swift's custom letterhead, featuring her name at the top. It comes with a personalized envelope addressed to "Liam," adorned with tiny star sketches reminiscent of a sparkle, and sealed with a "T" wax stamp.

Further, the back of the envelope is printed with "Nashville, Tennessee," the city where Taylor began her career.

The website added that Liam Payne gave the letter to a "close associate" upon receiving it.

Taylor Swift and Liam Payne never publicly showcased their closeness, although the "Blank Space" hitmaker has crossed paths with the One Direction members on countless occasions.

Recalling, Swift dated Harry Styles from 2012 to 2013, and collaborated with Zayn Malik on the single "I Don't Wanna Live Forever" in 2016.

One Direction members' heartfelt messages following Liam Payne's death

The auction comes a year after Liam Payne's fatal fall from the balcony of his hotel room in Buenos Aires, Argentina. An autopsy revealed later that the singer died of "polytrauma," or sustaining multiple injuries that involve multiple organs or systems.

Per the toxicology report following his passing, released by the prosecutor’s office, the pop star showed traces of "alcohol, cocaine, and prescription antidepressants" in his system at the time of his death.

The news of Liam Payne's tragic passing caused a cultural and worldwide griefquake and prompted poignant messages from his former One Direction members Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, and Louis Tomlinson.

Horan wrote:

"I'm absolutely devastated about the passing of my amazing friend, Liam. It just doesn't feel real."

He added:

"I feel so fortunate that I got to see him recently. I sadly didn't know that after saying goodbye and hugging him that evening, I would be saying goodbye forever. It's heartbreaking."

Styles, on the other hand, confessed in a statement:

"Liam lived wide open, with his heart on his sleeve, he had an energy for life that was infectious. He was warm, supportive, and incredibly loving. The years we spent together will forever remain among the most cherished years of my life. I will miss him always, my lovely friend."

For Malik, Payne was the "more sensible" one despite being younger than him.

"I will cherish all the memories I have with you in my heart forever, there is no words that justify or explain how I feel right now other than beyond devastated."

Tomlinson was also "beyond devastated," writing how Payne was "the most vital part of One Direction." He said:

"I feel beyond lucky to have had you in my life but I’m really struggling with the idea of saying goodbye."
