Romy Reiner on Nick Reiner

According to an article by The Daily Mail, Romy Reiner's birthday falls on December 27. Romy is going to be 28 this year, her first birthday after the demise of her parents, famed director Rob Reiner and his wife Michele. Apart from her parents, Romy is also going to be away from her brother Nick Reiner, who is currently in police custody and is charged with murdering his parents.

A source told The Daily Mail that Romy reportedly told police that her brother "should be a suspect" almost immediately after finding her parents' murders, since she was frequently "scared" of him and what he might be capable of. Nick was taken into custody in a matter of hours.

An insider told the publication, "It seems like Romy has been afraid of Nick since she was a child."

She reportedly stated:

'Nick was so volatile that she didn't think it was a good idea for him to be living in a guesthouse [which he once smashed up in a cocaine-fueled fit of rage] on the grounds of her parents' home.
'She didn't even like the idea of him living across the street from her. But she knew they moved him in so they could keep a close eye on him and give him a roof over his head', the insider told The Daily Mail

According to the publication, Romy and her parents "tried to include" Nick in family get-togethers as much as they could, or at least during times "when they were talking to him."
