Prosecutor Maurene Comey named Capricorn Clark the first witness to be called when Sean “Diddy” Combs’ trial resumes next week. After her, the representatives of the Los Angeles Fire Department and LAPD will also be called to testify on Tuesday after the holiday weekend, CNN reported.

Capricorn Clark is a former assistant to the controversial rapper and record executive Diddy. According to Charitybuzz, she is a California native who was employed at firms like Def Jam, Magic Johnson Enterprise, and BET Films. She moved to New York City in 2000 and later worked at Crossroads, a production company.

Her designation at Crossroads was the television production manager, and she handled projects for HBO, ABC, NBC, and more. Following her departure from Crossroads, Capricorn Clark was employed by Combs. Per Charitybuzz, her duties included handling “day-to-day functionality” of Diddy’s businesses and personal life.

She briefly left Bad Boy Records, Sean Combs’ label, and departed permanently from her assistant job. According to Charitybuzz, Clark worked as a strategic and product marketing consultant at Sony BMG, being assigned to Ciara and R. Kelly. Later, she returned to work with Diddy at the time of the re-launch of Sean John’s women's line.

Capricorn Clark later served as Diddy’s global brand director, managing his personal brand. At the same time, she also worked on the productions of Diddy: Dirty Money - The Final Days (2010) and I Want to Work for Diddy (2008), per IMDb. Besides her professional relationship with Sean Combs, Clark also worked for Scott “Kid Cudi” Mescudi, according to the Washington Post.

Mescudi mentioned his former employee when he took the witness stand on Thursday.

Kid Cudi claimed that he received a call from Capricorn Clark during an alleged break-in at his house by Diddy

On May 22, Scott Mescudi took the witness stand to testify in the trial of Sean “Diddy” Combs. While testifying, the Insano rapper made some claims about his relationship with Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura and its aftermath. Kid Cudi stated that he was friends with Combs’ ex-partner and briefly dated her in 2011, according to CNN.

Cassie was allegedly having some relationship problems with Diddy and they were seemingly not together when Mescudi began dating her, per the rapper’s testimony. In December 2011, Ventura told Kid Cudi about Combs discovering their relationship. The rapper claimed that she sounded “stressed,” as he claimed,

“She asked me to pick her up. She sounded really stressed on the phone, nervous, scared, so I went to go pick her up.”

According to CNN, Kid Cudi claimed he picked Ventura up as the pair went to a hotel. He mentioned speaking with Capricorn Clark, Diddy’s ex-assistant, on the phone. Cudi said,

“[Clark seemed] very scared, sounded like she was on the verge of tears.”

Per Mescudi’s testimony, Capricorn Clark told him that Sean Combs was with one of his associates at his house. He added,

“She [Clark] was forced to go along with them over there.”

Capricorn informed him that she was sitting in a car outside his house while Combs and his associate were inside. After that, Cudi claimed to have called the Bad Boy Records CEO to find out whether he was at his house. Combs allegedly asserted that he just wanted to talk to him. As Scott Mescudi replied that he was on his way to his house, Diddy assured him he was there waiting for him.

Kid Cudi claimed that no one was there when he reached his house, and his dog was locked in the bathroom. The rapper testified that items at his residence were moved after the alleged break-in by Diddy, following which he called the authorities.

During his testimony, Kid Cudi recalled his car getting damaged on his driveway due to a fire incident. He also recounted the details of his relationship with Cassie Ventura.
