On Sunday, July 27, 2025, Pete Davidson and his new girlfriend, Elsie Hewitt, made their first red carpet appearance since their pregnancy announcement when they attended the Los Angeles premiere of Pete’s latest film, The Pickup.

The Pickup was released on August 6, 2025. It was written by Matt Mider and Kevin Burrows, and directed by Tim Story. Pete plays the role of Travis Stolly. Elsie Hewitt appeared at the Los Angeles premiere wearing a form-fitting black dress that showed off her baby bump. The model wore her hair down in soft, loose curls and no accessories.

On the other hand, Pete wore a brown Sergio Tacchini zip-up sweater and brown sweatpants, which matched the top. He completed his casual look with a wristwatch, sunglasses, and white sneakers. The couple shared a kiss on the red carpet.

In an interview with People magazine at the event, Davidson spoke about becoming a father and his excitement about caring for the child.

“I'm just excited to take care of the little one. The second I found out the news, I was like, ‘Oh wow, what I do is just a job,” he said. "I realized I was kind of basing my happiness on work, which is ridiculously unhealthy. So it gave me this weird sense of calmness, where this is just a job and now I have someone to do it for.”

Elsie and Pete announced their pregnancy via an Instagram post on Wednesday, July 16, 2025. The post included several slides of couple pictures, a sonogram video, and the popular Love Island USA’s mamacita meme.

According to reports, the couple is excited to start a family together.

“They're both very nurturing people and are very, very happy together and to be starting a family. They've been sharing privately with loved ones, and it's a really sweet time after everything Pete has overcome. He's so excited. He's always wanted to be a dad,” a source told People magazine.

Another source revealed to the news outlet that Pete was very intentional about his relationships. Davidson had been in previous relationships with numerous celebrities, including Ariana Grande, Kim Kardashian, and Kate Beckinsale. The insider added that the actor had grown up.

“Pete and Elsie are happy and cannot wait to welcome their baby. He's grown up a lot, and he's so excited about this next chapter as a dad. He's more intentional about who he lets into his life now, and with Elsie, it was never about headlines or the spotlight, and that's exactly what he needs.”
