Charlie Kirk gave a shocking reaction to Taylor Swift's engagement to Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. Swift announced her engagement to longtime boyfriend Travis on August 26, whom she reportedly started dating in 2023.
The announcement went viral on the internet in no time, with celebrities reacting to the big news. Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, also shared a clip on X (formerly Twitter) from The Charlie Kirk Show aired on the Real America’s Voice network, discussing their engagement.
Kirk started by calling Taylor incredibly wealthy and pointed out that she has been more liberal in recent years. Adding to his statement, he said:
"I hope that America's biggest pop star marrying the pharmaceutical spokesperson ends up conservatizing them. Taylor Swift might deradicalize herself. She might come back down to reality."
He clarified that he was not being sarcastic and said he has noticed that marriage and having children often change people’s politics. He also added that he hopes Taylor will have more children than houses and change her name after the marriage. In another statement, he said:
"This is something that I hope will make Taylor Swift more conservative. Engage in reality more and get outside of the abstract clouds. Reject feminism. Submit to your husband, Taylor. You're not in charge. And most importantly, I can't wait to go to a Taylor Kelce concert."
The post drew mixed reactions from the audience, with some supporting Charlie Kirk’s remarks while others strongly disagreed.

His other tweet read:
"Young women should get married just like Taylor Swift is planning to. You will be happier."
