The latest Nicolas Cage thriller, The Carpenter's Son, has a brilliant cast of actors. Joining Cage, we have FKA Twigs and Noah Jupe in the leads.

Treating the Infancy Gospel of Thomas as its impetus, this Lotfy Nathan-directed film looks into a more humanistic perspective on the journey of young Jesus Christ. The film explores how The Boy undergoes a challenging journey of metamorphosis, growing from a clueless teenager to a mature individual who internalizes the importance of compassion and kindness.

Released on November 14, 2025, the film received unfavorable ratings, scoring a 38% on Rotten Tomatoes and a rating of 3.5/10 on IMDb.

Who is in the cast of The Carpenter's Son?

1) Noah Jupe as The Boy

British actor Noah Jupe portrays the role of The Boy, who is based on the young Jesus Christ. The Boy is a teenager who is dealing with angst and confusion regarding his moral stance.

Blessed with divine powers, he steps into a journey of understanding not only its importance, but also embodies values of mercy, compassion and empathy in the process. The Boy didn't have these values, but he took on the gruelling effort to learn after making a mistake.

Jupe is also known for his work in A Quiet Place, Honey Boy, The Undoing, Franklin and Lady in the Lake, to name a few.

2) FKA Twigs as The Mother

The English singer, songwriter and actor FKA Twigs, whose real name is Tahliah Debrett Barnett, portrays the role of The Mother in The Carpenter's Son.

Prominent as a singer, FKA Twigs has also worked as an actor in films, including Honey Boy, which also starred Noah Jupe. She has also starred in the 2024 gothic film The Crow, opposite Bill Skarsgård.

In an interview with TIME Magazine, when Lotfy Nathan was asked about why the characters' names in the film are not assigned by their unique names but by their roles, he responded by saying:

“That wasn't to be coy or anything. I think it's pretty obvious who people are in the movie. It made sense to me in trying to tell a story of this kind of obscure origin in a narrower scope with some anonymity, when Jesus would have just been a carpenter’s son."

3) Nicolas Cage as The Carpenter

Nicolas Cage portrays The Boy's stern and anxious father, The Carpenter. He is the adoptive father of The Boy. In the film, the father-son duo has a stressful relationship. The Carpenter is a man of deep faith, but in the process, he ends up reflecting on his spiritual beliefs.
