The Boyz's former member Ju Haknyeon has spoken against his removal from the group in a statement to Billboard on December 3, 2025. The statement comes at a time when Haknyeon is facing a multimillion-dollar breach of contract lawsuit from the label, 100RED.Haknyeon provides his recollection of the events that led to his dismissal from The Boyz and ONE HUNDRED terminating his contract, starting with what he remembers from his meeting with former adult film star Asuka Kirara:"We were hanging out with many people and, as it got later while we were drinking, there was one person [there] who used to be an AV [adult video] actress. Her name is Asuka Kirara. I met her there for the first time and, as far as I knew, she had been retired for about five to seven years. She became very successful after changing from her previous career."Ju Hakyneon continued:"So, while drinking together, I was curious, and we talked about various things, including discussions about business — she works with cosmetics, I know she also runs dermatology clinics, so we had those kinds of conversations while drinking when there were many people there [with us]."Later on, Haknyeon stated that the company demanded that he sign a termination agreement with what he said were ruinous repayments:"During this process, I said I wouldn’t sign it, that I couldn’t agree to this amount. I was so sorry and apologetic, crying a lot because, realistically, if I paid this, it would be the end of my life. I would go bankrupt. I just kept saying I couldn’t do it."Ju Haknyeon also clearly stated that he did not have any physical relations with Kirara, a claim that has been echoed by Kirara herself in the past in a public statement released on her X page:"Honestly speaking, I never had any sexual relations [with Kirara], and we never even discussed this at the company. I never stayed anywhere with Asuka overnight; there is no evidence, and the reporter never presented any evidence, but that’s still how they wrote the story."He added:"I want people to know that the company doesn’t protect their artists and isn’t acting like a proper company. If I lose this case over something I didn’t do…the companies will certainly abuse this kind of situation again. I think about it this way: If I hadn’t lived my life properly, they might have turned their backs on me..."Ju Haknyeon ended the statement by adding that he got a lot of strength from the people and friends who have continued to support him despite the recent lawsuit and dismissal from The Boyz and termination of contract by ONE HUNDRED.Ju Haknyeon was accused under Article 6, Paragraph 3 of his contractONE HUNDRED is accusing Ju Haknyeon of conduct mentioned in their contract's Article 6, Paragraph 3. The paragraph in question relates to acts that may damage the reputation of the public cultural artist to the point that it hinders the artist's ability to engage in entertainment activities. The list of activities includes gambling, prostitution, SA, drunk driving, and more. The label initially accused the musician of the same after pictures of him and Kirara were sold to the Shukan Bunshun. 明日花キララ @asukakiraranLINKVarious speculations are flying around, but the Shukan Bunshun article hasn't come out yet. Please don't spread misinformation.I have never in my life received money in private for sexual acts (prostitution).Of course, not this time either. It seems that a woman I met for the first time who was present there liked Hannyon-san, so she took photos and sold them to Bunshun.Ju Haknyeon also faced the charge of violating South Korea's prostitution law. However, that charge has not proceeded after the police declined to move forward with it. Haknyeon claims ONE HUNDRED's lawsuit is seeking a recompense of more than 8 billion won, or about $5.5 million USD.
