The death of Malcolm-Jamal Warner has come as a shock to his fellow The Cosby Show cast and their fans. The actor died on July 20 at the age of 54, reportedly due to drowning in Costa Rica. Malcolm became famous for playing the role of Theodore Huxtable in the show.
Warner was known for his talent in acting, which helped him land many roles in famous shows, including 9-1-1, The Resident, and Sneaky Pete. He last appeared in Alert: Missing Persons Unit in 2025.
The cast of The Cosby Show is paying tribute to Malcolm on social media following the tragic news of his death. The show that started in 1982 and ran till 1992 had a total of eight seasons.

Bill Cosby, who played the character of Cliff Huxtable, worked in many TV series after The Cosby Show ended. Some of them include Becker and Fat Albert. According to IMDb, he last worked on a three-minute short titled A Very Cosby Thanksgiving, in which he gave his voice.
While Cosby was loved by fans for his acting, the actor has been named in multiple sexual assault allegations over the years, which led to backlash.
In December 2022, five women filed a new lawsuit against him, accusing him of sexual assault and emotional abuse. Since then, Cosby has stayed out of the public eye and reportedly lives with his wife, Camille.
2) Tempestt Bledsoe

Bledsoe played the role of Vanessa Huxtable in The Cosby Show. Her most recent works include Family Reunion, released in 2019, and Jingle Belle, released in 2018. Her upcoming projects have not been announced yet.
3) Keshia Knight Pulliam

Keshia, who played Rudy Huxtable on the sitcom, is still active in the industry and recently appeared in the 2025 movie Wife Stalker. She is married to Brad James, and they have a son together. She also has a daughter, Ella, from her previous marriage to Edgerton Hartwell.
4) Phylicia Rashad

Actor and producer Phylicia Rashad, who played the role of Clair Huxtable in the show, is still acting and has worked on many famous shows and movies since then. Some of the films and shows include tick, tick… BOOM!, This is Us, and 13 Reasons Why. Currently, she is working on a Broadway play titled Purpose, which is set to end in August, as per PEOPLE.
5) Lisa Bonet

Bonet played the role of Denise Huxtable in the sitcom. After the sitcom ended, she was cast in many TV shows and movies, including Girls, Ray Donovan, and The Red Road, with the last in 2017, as per IMDb. In 2017, she married actor Jason Momoa. However, the couple divorced last year after spending almost seven years together.
6) Geoffrey Owens

Owens played Elvin Tibideaux on The Cosby Show, a role that brought him widespread recognition. His talent opened doors to many other roles, and he continues to stay active in the industry. This year, he appeared in projects like Nonnas and Subversion, showing no signs of slowing down.
7) Sabrina Le Beauf

Sabrina last appeared in the 2009 film The Stalker Within and has since stepped away from Hollywood. Her Instagram bio reads,
“currently rediscovering NYC,”
However, she is no longer active on social media.
8) Joseph C. Phillips
Joseph is still active in his career and has upcoming projects, including two TV movies titled Until the Wedding and Black. He is married to his wife, Nicole, and they have three children together.
9) Raven-Symoné
Raven has appeared in many well-known shows and movies since The Cosby Show, including The Bold Type and Black-ish. She has also lent her voice to popular projects like Guardians of the Galaxy and Tinker Bell and the Pirate Fairy. In addition to acting, she co-hosts a podcast called The Best Podcast Ever With Raven, with the most recent episode released in January.
