Actor Dylan Walsh was caught in a car accident near New York while traveling with his family on August 17. According to TMZ, they were in a 2022 Ford Explorer.

While fans have been expressing concern for his health, the actor’s spokesperson told People:

"Thankfully, everyone is safe and has since returned home. The family is deeply grateful for the swift response of the Rumson Police, Fire Department, and EMS, as well as the staff at Riverview Medical Center for their care."

Continuing the statement, the representative added:

"They would also like to extend a special thank-you to the management and staff of The River Point Inn for their support in the immediate aftermath."

According to Rumson Police Lt. Christopher Isherwood, five people, including Dylan Walsh, were inside the vehicle at the time of the crash. The car was heading north on East River Road when it crossed into the southbound lane.

Two of the passengers were taken to the Riverview Medical Center for treatment. However, their names or identities were not revealed. Police also discovered two utility poles that had been damaged in the collision.

Dylan Walsh’s wife, Leslie Bourque-Walsh, mentions a crash in a Facebook Post

Soon after the accident, Dylan Walsh's wife, Leslie, uploaded a Facebook post addressing the accident. However, she soon deleted the post. Leslie uploaded another post on August 19, revealing the details of the car crash, stating:

"Last night our family was in a pretty bad car accident. We are all ok and that is all I will share now, except please wear seatbelts and have air bags in your vehicles. We are also thankful for the 1st responders and all who helped us."

Adding to the statement, she wrote:

"The kids wanted to take her to our favorite breakfast place called Toast. We then went to the beach. We were heading home because Claire wanted to take family pictures of us in nicer clothes at sunset. She has done this since we have known her. It didn't happen unfortunately, but she got these amazing photos of Amélie and Hud at the beach in their element and we are forever grateful."

On August 20, Dylan Walsh's wife, Leslie, shared a Facebook post, writing a tribute to her Ford Explorer.

"This car drove our family on the very best road trip from Vancouver, BC to Rumson, NJ. All in all it is just a car, but so many memories attached to it."

The case is still under investigation as police work to determine how the crash happened. It is also unknown who was driving the vehicle at the time of the accident.
