In a past interview reported by Cowboys & Indians, actor Graham Greene was asked if he was still mistaken for the English writer and journalist of the same name. In his reply, Greene said:
"By now, I think pretty much everybody knows that he died. But there was a time when I got letters from some professors of English. This was back when we just had fax machines."
Continuing his statement, he said:
"They faxed me questions like, “When people read your books, what do you prefer us to be doing? What kind of wine should we be drinking? What kind of weather should it be outside?” All that sort of thing. I sent them back some ridiculous answers. The type of wine? Lots of it. Weather? Pouring down rain, but high winds."
The British writer, Henry Graham Greene, widely known as Graham Greene, passed away in 1991 at the age of 86 after a battle with leukemia. Greene was frequently considered for the Nobel Prize in Literature, making the final shortlist many times in the 1960s.
Greene was seen as one of the leading 20th-century novelists, with some of his works being The Power and The Glory, The Quiet American, The Heart Of The Matter, and The Ministry of Fear.
Graham Greene opens up about becoming an actor
Actor Graham Greene, best known for his roles in Dances With Wolves and Maverick, worked as a welder, carpenter, carpet layer, draftsman, and audio technician before beginning his acting career. While recalling his first experience working on a project, Greene shared his thoughts, as reported by CBC:
"I changed into the costume and they put me in the shade in a nice chair. They brought me food and water … and I thought, 'Jeez, I'm living the life of a dog! This is great. I don't have to carry anybody's amplifiers anymore. I don't have to do lights. I don't have to drive halfway across the country for nothing."
However, Graham Greene emphasized that he was fortunate in his acting career, which helped him gain fame on screen, while many other actors he knew had to work much harder to make a name for themselves.

Greene also earned a Grammy Award and was nominated for an Academy Award for his role in Dances With Wolves. Talking about the movie and his best experience, he said in an interview with Reader's Digest:
"My horse. He and I got on like a house on fire. On the last day I was shooting, this kid came up and told me it had been his—turns out he’d had to sell it. After filming, I went to the producers and said, “Make sure this kid gets his horse back. Take it out of my salary if you have to."
