Where was Fountain of Youth filmed? Filming locations of the Apple TV+ film, explored

The forthcoming Apple TV+ film Fountain of Youth has been filmed in regions across various countries, including Thailand, Austria, England, Egypt, and Italy.

Directed by Guy Ritchie, the plot follows Luke and Charlotte Purdue, a brother-sister duo who join hands in the pursuit of uncovering the whereabouts of the Fountain of Youth. With John Krasinski and Natalie Portman in the leads, the film also stars Eiza González, Arian Moayed, Domhnall Gleeson, Laz Alonso, Stanley Tucci, Carmen Ejogo, and more.

The film will release on Apple TV+ on May 23, 2025.

Where was the Fountain of Youth filmed?

The shooting of the film took place last year, in 2024. It took around nine months to complete the film. It commenced in February and concluded in October.

The filming spanned different countries, and within those countries, multiple locations were meticulously picked to replicate the world in which the film is set.

1) England

Within England, London and Liverpool have been the primary locations for the filming of this movie.

The scenes encompassing museums and the urban landscape have been filmed in these locations. In Liverpool, the World Museum has been a key site for filming some scenes. The exact filming locations within London have not been revealed yet.

2) Giza, Egypt

Some sequences of the film have been shot in Egypt, specifically the mighty Pyramids of Giza.

This very crucial historical site has been an important location to film for this heist feature, which revolves around the theme of the mythical water body. Hailed as one of the seven wonders of the world, some high-stakes scenes around the pyramids could be expected in the film.

3) Vienna, Austria

In the month of March in 2024, the filming schedule in Vienna, Austria, took place.

Some old and classical architecture of the country has been featured in the film. Within Vienna, locations like the Heldenplatz and the Austrian National Library have been shot for the film.

4) Bangkok, Thailand

Just before the filming took place in Vienna, the shooting in Thailand occurred a month before, in February 2024.

Bangkok has been the city where the filming has happened. The bustling city is home to some unique monuments, such as the Wat Paknam Phasi Charoen. We get to witness the beautiful golden Buddha statue of the temple in an aerial shot of the city that has been showcased in the film.

5) Rome, Italy

In Italy, Rome has also been one of the locations of the film, as we witness an aerial view of the Vatican City in one of the stills of the film. The rest of the scenes within Rome, Italy, are not known yet.
