New Jersey Senator Cory Booker married Alexis Lewis in a family-only ceremony in Washington, D.C., on November 29. According to the New York Times, it was an interfaith wedding as Booker is a Christian while Lewis is Jewish.Alexis Lewis’ father, Curtis Jerome Lewis, walked her down the aisle. Her mother, Leslie Garber Lewis, was also in attendance. Ahead of the ceremony, the couple signed their legal papers as husband and wife at the Newark Federal Courthouse on Monday, with their respective parents acting as witnesses.Over the weekend, they uploaded two joint Instagram posts sharing glimpses from their wedding days.“Overflowing with gratitude.
