Who is Edmond Laurent? All about former model and producer suing Diddy over sexual battery

Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs has been hit with a new $10 million lawsuit filed by former model and actor Edmond Laurent.

Laurent filed his complaint in the Los Angeles Superior Court on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, alleging that he was drugged and raped by the rapper in the late 2000s. He has reportedly accused him of assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligence and sexual battery, according to a report in Variety.

In his 32-page complaint, Laurent stated that the alleged assault took place at various luxury hotels in Los Angeles, including The Intercontinental in Century City, SLS Beverly Hills and the Mondrian in West Hollywood.

Edmond Laurent is a former actor and model known for his appearances in Briteny Spears and Lil’ Kim music videos. According to his profile on Facebook, he currently resides in Los Angeles, California and went to Newtown High School of the Performing Arts.

According to a report in Variety, Edmond Laurent is a native of Dominica and speaks French. His profile in Backstage indicated that he attended the Los Angeles Valley College where he studied Theatre, Acrobatics and Gymnastics.

He is listed as an actor at Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA), per his Facebook account. Some of his work credits, per his bio in Backstage include films such as The Best Part of Me, Ill Gotten Gains, Eraser, Street Fighter. He also appeared in television shows like – 911 Lonestar, Jersey Boys, The Little Things, Baywatch, The Tonight Show, Pacific Blue and Lonestar.

Edmond Laurent’s IMDb profile indicated that in addition to modelling and acting, he is also a martial artist, bodybuilder and dancer.

He is also the co-author of his biography, The Journey of the Island Jewel, co-written by Lee Broadwater. The book describes his struggles to achieve his dreams. The book described him as a homeless youth who was hired as a mime which paved the way for him into the film industry.

His lawsuit filed against Diddy described him as a heterosexual. It also indicated that he was signed to the modelling and talent agency Latin Connection. His connection landed him jobs as an extra artist in films, music videos, and as a performer at bachelorette parties.

The lawsuit added that he was,

“once a highly sought after to be in music videos with Tupac, Dr. Dre, Britney Spears, Lil Kim, Tamia, and other prominent artists.”

Edmond Laurent's alleged abuse by Diddy began when he was booked by his modelling agency to attend a bachelorette party at a Los Angeles hotel.

Upon his arrival, he alleged in his lawsuit that he met a man and an unidentified woman who requested him for a private performance to which he accepted and proceeded to perform.

However, they didn’t reveal their identity during their first encounter and wore masks as he performed for them. He was then paid and left. The man was later identified as Diddy in his complaint.
