A civil lawsuit filed on May 21, 2025, in Salt Lake County alleges that BYU quarterback Jake Retzlaff sexually assaulted a woman at his home in Provo, Utah.
According to Third District Court documents obtained by USA Today Sports, the woman, identified as Jane Doe A.G., reported that the alleged incident occurred in November 2023 when she and her friends visited the quarterback's home to play video games.

She reported that when they went to watch a movie, they began to kiss before she allegedly said that she "did not want to do anything more." At that point, he groped her body. She stated in her complaint that:
“she wanted to leave, but was scared and felt like she could not get away.”
The lawsuit alleged that Retzlaff escalated the situation, disregarded her objections, and ultimately raped, strangled, and bit her.
According to a report in Athlon Sports, Retzlaff is in a relationship with Jaelynn Lambert, who has been supporting him throughout his sports journey. She has been seen showing support at games through encouraging messages and social media posts.
