Who is Kata Hay? All about ex-Voice contestant as she faces arrest in vehicular homicide charges

In an exclusive piece published by TMZ on Thursday, a former contestant in the talent show The Voice, Kata Hay, was arrested on Wednesday on a vehicular homicide warrant.

Kata Hay, whose full name is Kata Huddleston, is an aspiring country singer who competed on The Voice 2016. She had three chairs turn for her during her blind audition: Pharell Willimas, Adam Levine, and Christina Aguilera, who she later chose as her coach. Kata made headlines when she confessed that Christina was her first girl crush and shared a kiss with the singer on stage. She was later eliminated after making it to the top 20.

Earlier this week, the Goodlettsville police department in Tennessee took to their official Facebook page to request the public's assistance in locating Kata. They posted her picture with a statement that read:

“The Goodlettsville Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in locating a Kata Huddleston w/f 38 years old, 5'2", 120 lbs, Red/Hz. She currently has outstanding warrants for vehicular homicide in connection with a motor vehicle crash on Long Hollow Pike near I-65.”

It continued:

“We have reason to believe that she may be enroute to Oklahoma and traveling with a white male and quite possibly towing a large camper.”

Adding:

“If you have any information on this suspect, please contact Lt. Jeff Petty at (615) 851-2222.”

According to reports, the singer was arrested at her home state early Wednesday morning by a local sheriff’s deputy and detained on a Tennessee warrant at the Osage County Jail in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. She is supposed to sign a waiver of extradition before a district court judge on Monday.

The police department thanked the people who made tracking Kata Hay easy.

“The Goodlettsville Police Department would like to thank the multitude of citizens who called in with tips as to the location of Ms. Huddleston.”

They continued:

“As a direct result, we are pleased to announce that she was arrested early this morning in Oklahoma, where she will be extradited back to Davidson County.”

TMZ reported that Kata Hay has more open cases, including a DUI case.
