Scott Wolf filed a restraining order against his soon-to-be ex-wife, Kelley Wolf. According to TMZ, the American actor went to court in Utah on Tuesday, June 24, to get a temporary restraining order.

Additionally, Scott Wolf filed two declarations, one from him and the other from his brother, Michael Wolf. Not much is known about what is in the documents because they are sealed.

Scott and Kelley Wolf share three children and have been married for more than two decades. Many were surprised when the couple announced their divorce at the beginning of June this year. However, regarding the restraining order, a source close to Kelley Wolf commented:

"It is not warranted, it’s cruel. And it’s incorrect... It's so sad for the kids."

Keep reading to learn more about what happened before Scott Wolf filed for a restraining order against his wife, Kelley Wolf.

What has happened since Scott Wolf and Kelley Wolf announced their divorce?

Scott Wolf was the first to break the news of their divorce after 21 years of marriage. He wrote in a statement:

"After 21 years of marriage, I have made the most difficult decision of my life, and filed for divorce from my wife Kelley... Our children have always been, and continue to be, the loves of our lives and our every priority, so I kindly ask for privacy at this time as we help guide them through this new chapter."

Kelley Wolf also said in her statement:

"I initiated a separation almost a year ago. I’ve been trying to file for divorce for months, but delays with legal counsel slowed the process... Yes, the official petition came from the other party, but let the record show: I’ve been grieving this marriage for years. This isn’t avoidance — it’s acceptance. I’m far past the grief. I’m well into the healing. Very much so."

Two weeks after the couple announced their divorce, Kelley Wolf was taken in by the Utah police for evaluation. The FLOW author posted the footage when she was "taken against" her will by the officers on her Instagram live. However, the officers clearly mentioned that Mrs. Scott was not going to jail, but they were going to get her help.

The police officers spoke to PEOPLE and provided a statement, saying:

"Upon speaking with the female, our Deputies learned that she had made concerning comments to a family member, and she also made similar comments to our Deputies... For that reason, our Deputies transported the female to a local hospital."

Before Kelley was detained, the Summit County Sheriff’s Office received a call from Scott and Kelley's residence in Utah. According to the reports from the incident, it read:

"Second time today called police on brother-in-law, divorce battle with husband, brother is at the home, meant to be helping with the kids, caller doesn’t feel safe in the house."

The report also mentioned an unidentified man who reported a past assault that happened in March. According to the man, he said that a woman was :

"putting her hands around his neck," but "did not choke him hard enough to restrict blood flow."

However, the man did not press any charges against the female.

Scott Wolf and Kelley Wolf's divorce is getting messier by the second, with the Party of Five actor filing a restraining order against his wife. Although Kelley was previously detained by law enforcement for evaluation, a source close to the author claims that the restraining order is "cruel" and "incorrect".
