First reactions for The Fantastic Four: First Steps are in, and it seems like the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is getting back on track. Like Thunderbolts (now The New Avengers), Matt Shakman's film was met with positive reviews too during its early screening. Now it's just a matter of a few days until we see it released globally.
After this, we have three more films on the roster for Phase Six: Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Avengers: Doomsday, and Avengers: Secret Wars. But that's not all. MCU will keep expanding, and part of that expansion might include a sequel to the Matt Shakman movie.
Though there is no official announcement about a potential sequel, Variety reported that it is possible that it might be one of the four films on the MCU slate. Even if that is true, we should still wait for something official that confirms the news.
Marvel added the fourth film to its 2028 slate recently and said it is scheduled for release on December 15, 2028. The other projects aren't confirmed either, as there are a lot of stories that Marvel Studios is working on. But the chances are, we will get Blade, Black Panther 3, and more that year.
Where will Marvel's first family appear after The Fantastic Four: First Steps?

After Marvel's first family has dealt with a galactic threat in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, they will next be seen in the Russos' Avengers: Doomsday. And if the rumors are true, the Matt Shakman film will set the stage for the Russo Brothers' film in its post-credits scene.
After that, their next adventure will arrive in 2027 with Avengers: Secret Wars, at least that's true for now, considering the film's cast listed on IMDb as of this writing. Other characters that are rumored to appear in it include Sam Wilson, Wong, America Chavez, and more.
This will conclude Phase Six and the Multiverse Saga. The 2028 slate, where we have four potential releases, will be a part of Phase 7. We still don't know what the next MCU saga will be called.
Will Fantastic Four become a part of the MCU's Sacred Timeline?
The Fantastic Four: First Steps is set on Earth-828, which isn't a part of the MCU's Sacred Timeline, the one Loki is holding at the end of time. However, after the events of the Matt Shakman film, they might become a part of it. We already saw the Fantastic Four's ship in The New Avengers' post-credits scene, though it isn't confirmed if Marvel's first family is in it or not.
But what's interesting here is that there's a moment in The Fantastic Four: First Steps trailer where we can see Earth being destroyed. If that happens, this family will have no option to choose from other than becoming a part of the Sacred Timeline.
That, and we may see another member in a potential sequel to the Matt Shakman film, Franklin, in action. Maybe Valeria Richards will be introduced in the next era of the MCU, too.
