Streaming platforms where the ABC channel is available, such as Hulu, YouTube TV and Fubo, have showcased the film. Along with these streaming platforms, the film was also broadcast on cable TVs as well as TV antennas.

Steve Martin's Father of the Bride was a success both commercially and critically. Along with him, the film stars Diane Keaton, Kimberly Williams, Martin Short, George Newbern and many more.
Several sequels of the film followed, including Father of the Bride II (1995), Father of the Bride, Part 3(ish) (2020), and Father of the Bride (2022). Martin starred in the 1995 and the 2020 films. The original 1950 film had a sequel too, in the year 1951, named Father's Little Dividend.
