What happened on General Hospital

Britt gave herself an injection in her room at Bobbie's. She answered the door to find Jason. She asked if he was there to fix the door. Jason fixed the window easily. Britt asked him to clear out his closet, but Jason said he couldn't today. He had another commitment. Jason said he had to go to a funeral.
"Oh, because someone had an 'accident,'" Britt quipped, as she made air quotes around "accident," a reference to Jason's work as a mobster. Britt felt terrible when Jason said it was because his mother had died.
Britt apologized for living up to her nickname ("The Britch.") Jason said that Monica had taken a fall, but they were able to care for her at home. Jason recapped that he'd gone to tell Monica about Drew's shooting, but that she was gone. Britt said she was sorry.
Britt realized that if she hadn't called Jason to help her in Croatia, then he would have been with Monica in her last days. Jason said that he was where he needed to be. Jason said he had time with Monica after Sam died. He moved into the house with Danny so that he, Scout, and Rocco could all be together. Jason said it was the right thing to do.
Jason said neither he nor Monica was sleeping a lot. He would check in on her when he saw her light on. "Most of the time I would just sit with her," Jason added. He said he loved having that time with her. "I just wish I'd known that was all we were going to get," Monica's son said.
Britt said that maybe it was better that he didn't know the end was near for Monica. That way, they could spend time together. Jason wished Britt good luck on her first day. He took his clothes for the funeral and then left.
Martin spoke to someone on a one-way phone call and asked the person he was speaking with if he or she could attend Monica's memorial.
Lulu showed up at the Quartermaine mansion. She told Brook Lynn that she was devastated over Monica's passing. Lulu asked Ned how Tracy was doing. Brook Lynn informed Lulu, Ned, and Michael that she couldn't locate Tracy.
Ned theorized that Tracy was down at the stables. He told Lulu that Monica's death hit her harder than anything he'd ever seen with her. Ned, Lulu, and Brook Lynn talked about how Tracy fought to make sure that Monica saw her grandkids. Lulu understood why Tracy fought so hard for Monica. Ned lamented that Tracy lost, which is not something she liked to do. Michael came back and announced there was no sign of Tracy and that her car was gone.
Brook Lynn learned that Tracey's overnight bag, her medications, and Lila's brooch were all gone. Ned said that Tracey passed on any tracking info on her phone. Ned said that Tracy had just lost her best friend of over 50 years, and they should try to find her. Lulu told Brook Lynn they could figure out where she was. Lulu mentioned what her late dad, Luke, would have done in Tracy's place, and then, she realized where Tracy might be.
Ned got out of his phone and called someone who gave his or her condolences about Monica. Ned said yes, there was something this person could do.
Jordan visited Drew in his hospital room. He wanted to know if she was there as a friend or someone to point out the errors of his ways. "Both," Jordan replied. Drew said it was painful the way Curtis turned on him. He speculated that Curtis was the one who shot him. Jordan pointed out that Drew shouldn't have gone after Stella. Maybe Stella shouldn't have broken the law, Drew countered. He pointed out that today was not the day, as Monica had died. Jordan said that's why she was there.
Drew pointed out to Jordan that his final memory of Monica was of her not letting him back into the house. Jordan said that didn't mean Monica stopped caring about him. Jordan said if Drew couldn't be a better man for Monica, then he should be one for Scout. Jordan said if Drew could do that, there might be hope for him.
Marshall arrived at Portia and Curtis's home. Trina gave Marshall a big hug. He said he was home to help out with the Stella and Drew situation. Curtis informed Marshall that the worst was over, but Marshall remained cautious about Drew. Portia thanked Marshall for his love and support. Drew said he was hardly the only person of interest, as many people want "Congressman Cutthroat" dead.
Curtis didn't want to discuss Drew in front of Trina. She said she could handle it. Portia said Trina truly didn't have to worry. Then, Dante showed up and asked to speak to Curtis. Drew asked Curtis if he wanted to talk alone. Marshall said Curtis's family should be with him. Dante began his questioning, recapping the night of Drew's shooting.
Drew said he was getting gas around 8:30 to 8:45 p.m. He went to the Savvoy, but Curtis said he went in the back door, so no one could verify that. Curtis then confirmed he went to the Brown Dog bar and had a drink with Jordan, something that appeared to be news to Portia.
Drew wrapped up his questioning. Portia saw him to the door. She grabbed her coat and told Curtis that it was "Time to go."
At General Hospital, Stella was happy that she was in the clear and wasn't going to jail. Felicia told her she had friends. A relieved Stella said she was going to focus on her patients and her friends now that her ordeal was over. Stella asked how Felicia was doing. She said there's no change with Maxie.
Felicia shared that Spinelli was taking it hard that Maxie was comatose. Stella told Felicia that she needed to process what had happened with Maxie. She offered to step in for her at work if Felicia needed to take time off.
Martin joyfully said hello to Stella. She asked if his back was still bothering him. Martin said he needed a shot in the arm before he visited Drew. Stella thought he was done talking to or working for Drew. Stella pieced together that Martin agreed to go back to Drew if the investigation into Stella was dropped. She said that she didn't want Martin to have to work for Drew again.
A nurse entered Nathan's hospital room. His hospital identification bracelet read "John Doe."
Nina showed up at Anna's office. The commissioner informed Nina that she wasn't there to talk about Drew's shooting, but rather, her brother, Nathan. Anna shared with Nina that an unidentified man was brought to GH, and a DNA test was run on him. The man is Nathan James West. Nina proclaimed that the tests were wrong.
Nina was thrilled that Anna didn't say anything to Leisl. "We were all at his funeral," Nina shouted. She told Anna that tests could be manipulated. Nina said this all could have been arranged by Cesar Faison.
Anna said she saw Faison's brain in a jar. She's 99% sure it was his brain. "I don't like those odds," Nina said. Anna said they need a positive i.d. on "John Doe." Nina started to leave and said, "Keep me posted." Anna stopped her and said she needed a second pair of eyes on this man before he woke up.
Felicia saw Nathan, the John Doe, in his hospital bed and dropped her papers. Just then, Anna and Nina arrived. Anna took a distraught Felicia away. Nina looked into the window.
Anna said to Felicia that she needed to get more info before she talked about Nathan any further. She said there was no info found on the John Doe, but that she ran his DNA and fingerprints, and it was Nathan. Anna reminded Felicia that there was a funeral and they were all there, but that Britt was there, too. Felicia noted the best person to figure this out (Maxie) was in a coma.
Felicia feared that this "John Doe," whether he was Nathan or not, could screw up James, who is already worried about his mother being in a coma. Anna said she was determined to get to the truth.
Meanwhile, Nina entered John Doe's room and approached him. She turned away and then turned back to him. She sat in a chair as she continued to look at the man who appeared to be her back-from-the-dead brother.
Jordan arrived at the hospital and told Stella that she was glad that it was over. Stella thanked Jordan for her help, but she lamented that the damage had been done.
Just outside their house, Portia blasted Curtis for choosing Jordan over her. Inside, Marshall suggested to Trina that they put on a pot of coffee. Curtis said the only reason the cops weren't questioning Portia was because of him. Portia said she was done pretending that she and Curtis had any kind of marriage between them. He came back into the house after Portia walked off.
Martin met with Drew and told him that the injunction he filed to keep the police out of his safe was being challenged. Drew said to keep him apprised. He's more focused on Monica. Martin gave Drew his sympathies. Drew said that Monica treated him like a son until Tracy, Michael, and the rest of the family turned her against him.
Drew said the family poisoned Monica against him. Martin advised Drew to get either a therapist or a hospital chaplain to help him work through his personal issues. Martin said he was not the man for that. Drew countered that Martin was exactly who he needed right now. Martin said he'd be damned if he was cut out of Monica's will.
"John Doe" squeezed Nina's hand and woke up. He looked around and saw Nina. "James," Nina cried. "John Doe" smiled.
