When he’s not playing “Stone Cold” Jason Morgan on General Hospital, Steve Burton regularly shares warmth and advice on living life on his social media.
Over the weekend, Burton posted wisdom on two separate topics on his Instagram account as he celebrated his birthday on June 28.
General Hospital's Steve Burton encourages fans to live life to the fullest
The first post was a rallying cry for anyone wanting to give up on their goals. He titled the post “This is for the person who feels like giving up today.” He posted a video message from the driver’s seat of his car, and the caption on the post was a nearly complete transcript of what he said.
In part, he said. “Every choice that you have made leads to today… You get to make a choice right now to change your life. You get to create the life that you want by your choices.”
The post has been Liked by more than 4,500 people, with numerous fans thanking him for the advice. One of them, @kathy.flach.96 commented: “Thank you, you are such an awesome, thoughtful ❤️ loving person. So sweet of you caring for others. God Bless u and your beautiful family🩷🙏”
In the next one, he was walking past sets in the General Hospital studio to the tune of the Bee Gees classic “Stayin’ Alive.” He titled the video “Stop handing out your energy like it’s free samples at Costco.”
In the post, he talked about the importance of having high energy. In part, he captioned it: “Everything is energy. You know when somebody walks in the room and you’re like man that person has great energy? You feel it when it’s high and you feel it when it’s low. Your energy is one of the most precious gifts you have. It fuels your peace, your purpose, and your power. Protect it at all costs. Energy is currency — spend it where it multiplies, not where it disappears.”
That post was liked by more than 11,000 fans, many of them wishing him happy birthday.
Jason has had a relatively stress-free time of it lately on General Hospital. He has been dishing out advice to Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) about his custody battle with Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) while trying to keep an eye on Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). And he was just named godfather of Sasha Corbin’s (Sofia Mattsson) newborn baby, Daisy Celeste, taking part in her christening.

All of that is likely to change soon, with both Natalia Ramirez (Eva LaRue) and Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) facing mortal peril at the end of the June 30 episode. Jason will be helping Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) as his war with Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) heats up. But his portrayer, who got married to Michelle Lundstrom in May, seems to be having a lot of fun.
Catch Steve Burton in all-new episodes of General Hospital weekdays on ABC and Hulu.
