Since leaving General Hospital, Marcus Coloma has stayed busy connecting directly with fans online through personal videos, behind-the-scenes updates of his latest projects, goofy videos with Kin Shriner (Scotty), and plenty of late-night reflections.

His most recent social media post was less about soap drama and more about something real — the quiet, personal moments where people choose to either play it safe or go after what they really want. And judging by the reaction, a lot of people needed to hear it.

What is possible?

On Instagram, former General Hospital star, Marcus Coloma, kept it simple, writing: “Late night thoughts.” He attached a video to the post that was set against a backdrop of classic film clips that flickered with a cinematic energy. Coloma narrated a challenge directly to his audience.

“What if it was possible?” he began. “What if you could actually create your dream life? What if the reason why you don't have your dream is because you're not creating it or because you're too busy distracting yourself with mindless scrolling, dating people you know you're not compatible with? What if you could stop all the things that you do to distract yourself from confronting the hard things? What difference would that make?”

The GH alum acknowledged the discomfort that comes with big leaps. “Maybe it would be embarrassing,” he said. “But what if the price for the dream life is not only embarrassment — it’s a fearlessness. What does it take to get there?”

The short video layered these words over film moments full of momentum and grit — a subtle reminder that even the most heroic arcs start with a single choice. Among the clips were scenes from It’s a Wonderful Life, The Graduate, and Back to the Future, as well as generic clips like someone’s hands typing on an old-school typewriter. Co-star Finola Hughes (Anna) chimed in with a simple but telling response: “Yup.”

For others, the message from Coloma star landed right at the perfect time. @nikstanz commented, “I soooooo needed to hear this tonight…as I senselessly scroll. Maybe was not so senseless this time afterall. ;) Thanks, Marcus.” @marye.grim said, “It takes Perseverance and determination to reach your dreams!”

Some fans tied his words to their own journeys. @stdipiet shared, “This post is the perfect inspiration as I begin my day helping two people fulfill their dream of becoming U.S. citizens!” @kelly.mcpoland added, “I NEVER stop seeking to fulfill my dreams‼️They give purpose to my life.” And perhaps the most echoed takeaway came from @writerty: “Fearlessness.”
