General Hospital's Kate Mansi raising funds for new autobiographical short film project

General Hospital actress Kate Mansi (Kristina Corinthos-Davis) is crowdsourcing funds for a new short film she is working on.

The film is called “Oh Sh!t” and is an autobiographical film based on an experience Mansi had making a previous short film in March and April of 2025.

In a GoFundMe website asking for donations for the film, Mansi said the plot of the story describes a crazy last day of filming in which she and the crew battled food poisoning while trying to film a sex scene.

Kate Mansi writes: “Oh Sh!t is based on a true story - mine. On April 1, 2025, the eve of our final day of shooting an indie film, I was hit with brutal food poisoning. We’d already battled blizzards, delays, and I refused to be the reason we didn’t finish. So, armed with Pedialyte, Pepto, and pure determination, I pushed through. The only scene left? A sex scene.

By the time I arrived on set, it became clear I wasn’t alone. Our crew started dropping like flies, one after another. Somehow, everyone made the same unspoken decision: we were getting the shot, no matter what. A true comedy of errors ensued: a makeup trailer full of chaos, an intimacy coordinator and co-star lovingly over-prepping while all I could think was, "Please don't let me sh*t on Shariff"

Mansi went on to describe her reasons for making this new film. “I’ve never written, produced, and starred in something of my own, but when my friends JJ Nolan (actor/producer) and indie filmmaker Courtney Pape offered to help, I knew it had to be done. I’m beyond grateful to have Courtney co-write and direct with her signature comedic tone, and to bring this to life alongside a truly incredible cast! As a native Angeleno, I am so proud to shoot my first short film in my hometown, the city that made me. And to support bringing our industry back to its roots: creative, collaborative, and scrappy.”

Mansi has been promoting this new project on her social media. She made a new video about the project on her Instagram Stories on August 6th.

Her General Hospital co-stars Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) and Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) promoted the project on the Instagram account for their Stone Cold and The Jackal podcast.

The new project is one of many ways Mansi keeps busy when she's not being a Davis girl in Port Charles. Mansi had a long run as Abigail Deveraux on Days of Our Lives, winning a Daytime Emmy for that role in 2017. She is currently nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress for playing Kristina on General Hospital.

Before joining General Hospital, she starred in the limited series Casa Grande, which was co-created by Lauren Swickard, whose husband Josh plays Harrison Chase on General Hospital. Lauren also guest-starred on several episodes of GH as Nurse Janice in 2023.
