General Hospital Spoilers, January 5: Kristina's desperate warning as Willow's trial resumes

Now that Kristina (Kate Mansi) knows what her mother's new legal strategy is to get Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) acquitted, she knows she has to make sure at least one person doesn't take the stand. Kristina finds Jacinda (Paige Herschell) and tells her that she has to leave town immediately. If she doesn't, she may be forced to perjure herself all for Michael's (Rory Gibson) sake.

Meanwhile, Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) calls Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) back to the witness stand in court, impressing Drew (Cameron Mathison) with her performance. Michael also realizes that Jacinda is in big trouble and needs to warn her. Didn't Michael think of this when he paid Jacinda to be his fake alibi?

Laura's plea to Kevin

After Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) relayed Sidwell's (Carlo Rota) ominous message about Ace, Laura (Genie Francis) knew that her grandson wasn't safe. On Monday, she begs Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) to get Ace to safety as soon as possible. She is sure that Ace will somehow be kidnapped off the street or right out of her home.

Does Laura want Kevin to take Ace with him to Ireland? Wouldn't he also need the nanny? And doesn't Sidwell have goons across the globe who could snatch both Ace and Kevin at any moment? Is Laura thinking this through at all?

Doctors with problems

Britt (Kelly Thirbaud) is thrilled to have her medical license back, but she is not happy that she is now under Jack Brennan's (Chris McKenna) thumb. That means she is playing both sides since she is also under Sidwell's thumb, and she knows just what he is capable of. This might not end well for Britt.

Meanwhile, Portia (Brook Kerr) needs a friend to turn to, so she confides in Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). She didn't mean for any of this to happen, but she just wants to handle things right this time. To that end, she begs Curtis (Donnell Turner) to give her a little more time to run the paternity test. She wants to make sure it is perfectly safe, but something tells us that Britt's friend might interfere with Portia's plans.
