Now that Christmas is over, it's time for Carly (Laura Wright) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) to forge ahead with their plan to bring down Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna), but it will be easier said than done. Carly did what she could for Valentin when she brought Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) to see him on Christmas Eve, but now she is ready to get down to business.

It even appears that Valentin has a plan, but Carly seems concerned that this plan will not work. She warns Valentin that they cannot screw this up. Josslyn's (Eden McCoy) safety is too important. Plus, she needs Jack to pay for using and manipulating her the way he has. Valentin just wants to somehow secure his freedom so he can live a life with his daughter again.

Britt's big birthday plans

Three years ago, on New Year's Eve, Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) celebrated her birthday in style on The Haunted Star before trying to rescue Josslyn from certain doom and became doomed herself instead.

Everyone assumed Britt had succumbed to the poison from Heather Webber's (Alley Mills) hook, but here she is alive and kinda-sorta well on New Year's Eve 2025. She even wants Jason to celebrate the big day with her, but he is not in the mood. In fact, Jason surprises Britt by telling her that he wouldn't even be good company. What could be weighing on Jason's addled mind?

A new start for Jordan and Curtis?

Jordan (Tanisha Harper) is happy to welcome Curtis (Donnell Turner) to her new fancy apartment on New Year's Eve, hoping for a fresh start. When she told Curtis that Portia (Brook Kerr) was pregnant, she never imagined that he might not be the father.

Now that she knows her ex and Curtis' wife have been canoodling behind everyone's backs, that changes everything. Jordan no longer feels she has to hide her feelings and is ready for something new with Curtis. As for Curtis, he tells Jordan that he's been the selfish one all along.
