Well, the party's over, General Hospital fans. Ric is no longer in Alexis' basement, tied to a gurney with a ball gag in his mouth. While we're sad that this absolutely incredible story arc has come to an end, the way it ended was...well...chef's kiss, GH, or should we say cult's kiss.
Not only that, but Josslyn's secret is out (kinda), with Carly handling it exactly how we expected her to, and then, not at all how we expected her to. It sure was a week of surprises in Port Charles, so let's dig on in.
Cult classic

So, we had a fantasy that was similar to Ric's but with a twist. All this time, we had hoped that Elizabeth would somehow discover Ric and she would learn he was down there because he knew who caused their accident all this time and was blackmailing Alexis. Then, Liz would decide to become the fourth member of the crazy coven, torturing Ric, right along with Ava, Kristina, and Alexis. But honestly, we liked this ending better.
Yes, Elizabeth did find Ric, but it was only in his delirious mind. Cody was the one who really found Ric, with Outback's help, of course. After that, hilarity ensued. From Cody wondering if Ric forgot his safe word with Alexis to Ric's cultish cover story, we couldn't stop laughing.
This story arc was genius from start to finish. Watching Ava, Kristina, and Alexis become reluctant friends is everything we needed, as was watching their faces as they braced themselves for Ric telling the truth. Instead, he improvised and said whatever came into his head at that very moment, and what came into his head was brilliant. A cult with special tea? Of course. Kristina should know all about that cause she really did drink the tea at one time, and Jason had to kidnap her out of (Drew's) Dawn of Day house before bad things happened.
We wonder if Ric will tell his cult story to Willow when he explains why he disappeared from her life and her custody case. She would certainly be able to relate, as she has now been in two cults. Dawn of Day and Dawn of Drew.
And Cody? Yeah, what can we say? He's grown on us to the point where we now love the guy. He's amazed that these four selfish nuts are somehow related to Molly, and so are we. Everything that took place at Alexis' house this week was everything we could have hoped for, even if nobody seemed to know whether it was day or night, including the people who wrote and lit the show.
But all's well that ends well, right? Ava has her divorce settlement back (and doesn't even know that Valentin is the one who stole it, but Alexis does), Ace has his inheritance back, Ric is no longer in the basement, and Cody even got the girl because he is Molly's hero now.
And Cody is also the wild card here. He knows what really happened and can blow the cult cover story any time. This ain't over and thank goodness, because Maura West, Kate Mansi, and Nancy Lee Grahn need their own spin-off, with Rick Hearst, of course. Four Emmy winners during Emmy week, no less.
The calm before the Hurricane Carly storm?

When Jason FINALLY told Carly that her precious Josslyn wasn't a mere college student, but instead a WSB super spy extraordinaire, she reacted exactly as we expected and wanted. She was floored and outraged, as well as quite confused. How was her college co-ed kid an international agent fighting crime across the globe? It made no sense to Carly and still makes no sense to us, but here we are.
We were chomping at the bit for Carly to lay into Josslyn on Friday, but she did the complete opposite, and we're not sure if we like it. Yes, there were some sweet moments between Carly and Josslyn as Carly tried to understand what would motivate her daughter to do a thing like this, but those moments were calm and collected when we frankly wanted her to tear into Josslyn for being so foolish and reckless with her life.
However, we're pretty sure that storm is still coming on Monday. But instead of unleashing her fury at Josslyn, she will unleash it with Jack, and rightfully so. He has absolutely no idea what's coming, and that's a good thing. Go get him, Carly, in the ways that only you can. Jack deserves all that and more for recruiting this girl into a life she truly doesn't understand. The only person who gets it is Anna.
Anna's got her hands full

And poor, poor Anna. If it's not one thing, it's another, and Anna just has to grin and bear it. From Faison's dead adult children appearing out of nowhere to a congressman who was down for the count, Anna doesn't know what to do with herself. So many crimes, so little time. And a little Faison and Valentin, too.
Anna can smell Faison's dirty work from a mile away and knows that Jack and Valentin have to somehow be involved. Anna juggles it all and makes it look easy when she really just wants to put her feet up and enjoy a glass of wine, but guess who wants her...
Our funny Valetin

Our boyfriend Valentin was back this week. No, he wasn't in Port Charles, but we got to see him in international prison, so sqeee.... And Charlotte got to see him, too. And Lulu. And Jack.
Valentin is also now "Dad" as "Papa" will no longer do. And Valentin knows things. He knows a lot of things. So, if Jack can arrange a meeting with Charlotte and attempt to arrange a meeting with Anna, why can't he just get Valentin released so he can make his way home and be with Anna again? She needs a love interest, and only Valentin will do.
And...now back to Who Shot Drew?

We don't care who shot Drew. That's because Drew is still Drew, and his shooting was inconsequential at this point. He is still as ewww as ever, but at least he is under Sidwell's thumb now, so that's a nice twist.
Willow was arrested right in front of her kids for shooting Uncle Drew, and Nina was arrested right in front of Carly, who found sheer delight in the moment. Nina, of course, did everything she could to protect Willow and maintain a fake alibi, while Willow just plain threw Nina under the bus and told the cops she was lying. Great job, Willow.
So, did Michael really plant that gun in Elizabeth's house and plan for her to be arrested in front of a therapist of his choice? Or did Willow really do it? She seems pretty adamant that she didn't, so maybe it was Nellow, the alter we are sure Willow has in there somewhere. She seems to sneak out every once in a while, and we bet she was stalking Sasha and Daisy.
Rocco and his weird not-family

At first, we thought it was kinda cute that Rocco had developed a friendship with Liesl over the summer, but having dinner with the whole Obrecht-Faison clan at the Metro Court and taking selfies was just a bit too much.
Rocco is in no way related to these people, even if Britt did give birth to him and feed him avocados as a baby. There were some weird vibes happening, and we hope that Charlotte can nip this little problem in the bud before it becomes a big problem.
Till next week, Scoopers, when Willow is arraigned, Brook Lynn throws a tea party, and Hurricane Carly gets her hands on Jack.
