This week's General Hospital left a lot of people scratching their heads. Is this Nathan? Why is Britt acting so off with him? What was Michael's ulterior motive with Willow? Where did Edward Quartermaine's gun go? Who knocked up Portia? (There are only two choices.) Why was Chase presenting a search warrant in his own home? Is Ronnie on the up and up? Also, where the heck was Ric?
Brainwashing, cloning, memory mapping? Which is it?

That's not Nathan. We will keep repeating that sentiment until we have confirmation that is not Nathan, at least not in his pure form. We thought that when Britt and 'Nathan' had some time, we'd get some kind of clue to who he was. Instead, he acted just like Nathan, kind and happy-go-lucky as ever.
However, Britt was definitely looking at him askance and seemed to be a nervous wreck around him. She knows how her alleged brother suddenly returned from the dead out of nowhere, but she's not letting on, not even to the man standing in front of her, who seems to think he is Nathan West.
In fact, the only one to question BOTH Liesl Obrecht and Cesar Faison returning from the great beyond in the course of a few weeks. Doesn't it seem strange to anyone else, especially Liesl, who is actually quite clever and normally suspicious of everyone? But nope. Everyone just takes it at face value that this is normal, when it is SO NOT NORMAL.
Yes, coming back from the dead is as normal to soaps as the sun rising in the morning, but siblings who we both watched die returning from the dead in a matter of weeks is an entirely other thing altogether.
Conspiracy theories

While we got quite a chuckle out of hearing Ronnie utter, "It's my house. Monica gave it to me," we don't believe Monica gave her that house. No way. The beloved sister of her heart had to have originally read "Tracy Quartermaine," and Marty somehow got his hands on it.
The question is — was Ronnie in on the forgery or has she been as duped as everyone else (except Tracy, who is sure that the house was meant for Michael)? We like Ronnie, and we want to continue liking Ronnie, so hopefully, this is really Marty working on his own. The fact that Lulu couldn't seem to dig up any dirt on her is a good sign that we are allowed to like a character played by Erika Slezak. Cause she's Erika Slezak and how could we NOT like her?
Yo, Chase

Speaking of the Quartermaines and the house...um, Chase, we know you didn't fill out the search warrant for your own home, but when you looked at it (we assume you did), how did you not notice the address was wrong? You LIVE THERE, Chase. Knowing your own address is key to functioning in society.
Anna insisted on blaming Justine Turner for the snafu, but her detective's proofreading work really needs something to be desired. How very Chase of him.
Cat and Mouse?

So, who shot Drew? And who cares who shot Drew, since it resulted in nothing but the same old Drew and a not-so-intriguing mystery? Michael and Willow are the two most obvious suspects, and sometimes the most obvious suspect turns out to be the culprit. We pray that is the case with Willow because it would have the most dramatic effect if it were her, but wouldn't that be way too simple?
Right now, it appears as if Willow is trying to get one over on Drew, while we are not quite sure what Michael is up to. He is generously allowing Willow to see those kids, but was that just an excuse to get into Elizabeth's house and hide that gun while nobody was looking? Is Michael setting up Willow?
Would it even matter, considering that Willow is perfectly fine with Drew setting up Michael as long as she can get her kids back? If they are both setting the other up, maybe they are soulmates after all.
Who's the daddy?

We called it the second Portia started doing the deed on her office couch with Isaiah. She's pregnant. Because that's the Portia way. Have problems in a marriage, cheat on your husband, get pregnant. Portia is two for two in that department now, so we're impressed.
We are also impressed that she let Elizabeth in on her little secret, so now she at least has someone to confide in. 'Who's the daddy' plots always need someone who is in the know to make it more interesting, so why not Elizabeth? It's not like she's in a story of her own right now, which brings us to...
Where the heck is Ric?

Yes, we know he is in Alexis' basement, tied to a gurney with a ball gag in his mouth as he has been for well over a month now (except for his brief trip to the living room), but why was that plot once again dropped for an entire week?
We're back to just hearing about Ric being on a fake digital detox rather than seeing him in the basement in all his sweaty, smelly, unshaven glory. Elizabeth and Willow are both on the hunt for their lawyer, but we have a feeling that Liz will find him first. When she learns that Ric was using their accident to make quick cash, maybe she will just leave him there and join the club with Alexis, Ava, and Kristina.
Odds and ends

Yay for Emma and Gio. They finally admitted they had feelings for one another — to each other. That's a miracle on soaps. We were sure they would be the next Chase and Brook Lynn and dance around the subject like high schoolers for two years.

Is Sonny like some politicians we know who think anything factual and negative about them and their family is biased or "fake news?" Just because something is bad, it doesn't make it untrue. That's a lesson a lot of people need to learn. And if coverage is almost always negative, perhaps there is a reason for that...

Josslyn, the super spy, is at it again. She was told to throw her mother off her WSB scent, so she threw Vaughn and Jack under the bus instead. And no, she still doesn't look or act like a secret agent, and Vaughn still looks like her uncle, so it's time to change course with Josslyn. Again.
Till next week, Scoopers, when we hope Ric finally gets to at least take a shower.
