AC/DC was formed in Sydney in 1973. They gradually grew into one of the most beloved rock bands in history. Their 1980 album Back in Black remains the highest-selling hard rock album of all time in the U.S., with over 25 million copies sold there alone.
The group has sold more than 200 million albums worldwide. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003 and the ARIA Hall of Fame in 1988.
Co-founder of the group, Malcolm Young, died in 2017. However, Power Up witnessed the reunion of the key members. The album debuted at No. 1 in over 20 countries, including Australia, the U.S., and the U.K.
