Nicki Minaj has reported Kendrick Lamar affiliate MackWop to the FBI and CIA over alleged threats she received from the latter. MackWop is a childhood friend of Kendrick Lamar. The singer first reported him to the FBI, tagging the organization's X handle on July 18, 2025, stating in her post:

"@MackWop did you just threaten to harm me? @FBI I want this man investigated right away. He has ties to other ppl who’ve been a part of very shady business & is now threatening harm as well as admitting to a crime about someone else. Which boy was put in a blender?"

She then followed up with another post, this time tagging both the FBI and the CIA Director, stating:

"It seems to me that he’s talking about Tory recently being stabbed up in what many believe to be a set up. @fbi. I’m ready to talk about everything I know. @CIADirector. These thugs have gone way too far. They have now began PUBLIC THREATS due to their leaders feeling above the law."

The alleged threats stem from a recent reaction by MackWop regarding the recent online clash between Nicki Minaj and SZA, in which Wop made the following statement:

"Nicki, relax... Relax before you get put into a blender like your boy did."

This triggered several posts by Minaj, who publicly stated that she felt threatened by Wop's statement. The clash between Minaj and SZA was over the claims by Minaj that SZA and her team, including Top Dawg Entertainment label president Terrence "Punch" Henderson, were bullying her.

It is presently unclear if an actual legal complaint has been filed against MackWop. There has been no response by Wop regarding Minaj's posts against him as of the writing of this article.

Nicki Minaj is currently working on her sixth studio album

Nicki Minaj has discarded the deluxe version of her album, Pink Friday 2, and is instead focusing on her next studio album. The singer announced the decision to switch projects back on September 16, 2024, in a post on her official X page, stating:

"Instead of doing a DELUXE to Pink Friday 2, I’ve decided to do a brand new album. I’ll still incorporate new songs like #Mamita & [The “anxiety” song] for the remainder of the tour tho…and I’ll announce the new date within the next couple weeks. The new music is just too good to be thrown away on a deluxe album."

Nicki Minaj later elaborated:

"PF2 means so much to me. As my 1st album as #PapaBear mama, it’s just very special to me for so many reasons you guys aren’t aware of. I put every song on there in a specific order, etc. So to honor that, I’m going to give it the respect & integrity it deserves as a beautiful body of work & not add anything else to it. 1 or 2 songs is no big deal but 5-7 songs feels a little sloppy right now (In my humble opinion)."

Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday 2 was a follow-up to her debut studio album, Pink Friday. Pink Friday 2 has been critically acclaimed since its release, winning the Album of the Year award at the 2024 BET Hip Hop Awards. The album was also nominated for Album of the Year at the BET Awards as well as the People's Choice Awards.
