Fans of the popular actor and Astro member Cha Eun-woo are not happy with the news that has been circulating over social media. Rumor has it that the 28-year-old actor and K-pop idol will be enlisting in the military as early as July, and his recent actions seemingly confirm this news.
According to a statement released by Fantiago, Cha Eun-woo's agency, the True Beauty actor recently applied to join the military band. Applications for the slot were open from the end of March to the beginning of April, and according to Koreaboo, the interviews were held today.
“Cha Eunwoo had an interview with the Army’s military band today,” Fantiago said in a statement.
Following the widespread circulation of the news, fans of Cha Eun-woo have expressed their dismay over the announcement.

If Cha Eun-woo enlists in July, he will be the second member of the boy group Astro to serve his mandatory military service. The first member, MJ, began his service in May 2022 and completed it in November 2023.
