King Parrot 2025 North American tour: How to buy tickets, dates, venues, and more explored

Australian extreme metal group King Parrot is officially heading back to North America for a summer tour in 2025. The Melbourne-based quintet will kick off their two-and-a-half-month trek on Friday, July 25, 2025, in Brooklyn, New York. The tour wraps on Saturday, September 13, 2025, in West Palm Beach, Florida.

The tour has been designed to support the group's latest album, A Young Person's Guide to King Parrot, which arrived earlier this year via Housecore Records. It is the band's first full-length studio release in five years and includes ten tracks.

Throughout the summer, King Parrot will perform a mix of headline sets, intimate club shows, and appearances on The Heaviest Tour of the Summer to support metal acts Pantera and Amon Amarth. On select dates, King Parrot will also share the stage with Acid Bath, Pentagram, Weedeater, Squid Pisser, and Bonginator.

King Parrot announced the summer 2025 tour via an official Instagram post, which read:

King Parrot was formed in Melbourne, Australia, in 2010. Their debut album was Bite Your Head Off. They followed it with releases like Dead Set and Ugly Produce. In 2025, the band returned with A Young Person's Guide to King Parrot.

King Parrot Vocalist Matt Young noted that the album became a tribute to their friends and an emotional release. Young shared a statement about Get What Ya Given, a single off their latest album:

"After experiencing the loss of 2 of my closest friends in 2023, the experience of grief and life hit not only me, but the entire band in a heavy way. We lost our greatest friend and ally Boyd Synnott in 2023 who had done several of our album and EP covers, countless art and merch ideas, as well as acting and helping produce our music videos."

Young also added:

"This loss crushed us, but also helped fan the fire and drive motivation to push forward with this new album. This song particularly deals with grief, loss and the pressure of everyday life that some find so suffocating. This is a homage to the friends we have lost, and to anyone who struggles with this shit. We are grateful to have heavy music as an outlet and channel to work through it all. We have the live shows to come together with our people, celebrate the music and blow off some steam, it's a pretty damn good deal."
