Spanish pop star Rosalía is all set to release her fourth studio album, LUX, on November 25. Ahead of the release of her upcoming LP, the singer appeared on the New York Times' Popcast. In the October 30 podcast episode, the singer spoke at length about her new album.

One of the major highlights of Rosalía's forthcoming album was that the Grammy-winning singer sang the lyrics in 13 languages. The host was amazed at this feat and asked the vocalist if she had resorted to any sort of "digital augmentation" or "using AI" to correct the pronunciation while recording in multiple languages. Rosalía denied any kind of AI usage for taping her album in different languages. The host questioned if it's all natural, to which she said,

"Very much human."

In the interview, the singer revealed that she spent a significant amount of time honing her linguistic and phonetic knowledge.

"It's a lot of trying to understand how other languages work... So back and forth, constant back and forth, like for an entire year just dedicated to lyrics and phonetics, calling with teachers who could teach me how to, like, say it properly and do the phonetics right," the singer recalled.

Rosalía took over two years to record her new album,

The pop star revealed that she had to rerecord tracks several times to perfect her album recording. Rosalía said that it took her two and a half years to record her upcoming studio album. When the host asked how many times she had to re-record LUX, the musician replied:

"I have lost count; for two years and a half I've been doing this album. I've lost count. I've had to record, re-record, rewrite, re-record, rewrite, then put the pieces together. It's like a puzzle. It's like a puzzle, like a labyrinth. So, it was it was very tricky, but it was also very rewarding to finish it and be like, 'Okay, I'm in peace now,'"

In the interview, she also discussed the writing process and the guest appearance of Björk on her album. In addition to Björk, fans will also see guest appearances from artists like Yves Tumor, Carminho, Sílvia Pérez Cruz, Yahritz, and Estrella Morente.
