DJ Akademiks posts alleged texts from D4vd to an anonymous high school girl he was having a secret relationship with in 2023

On September 20, DJ Akademiks posted alleged screenshots of singer David Anthony Burke, aka D4vd’s, text messages to a girl. The screenshots were posted on the X account @AkademiksTV. In the caption of the post, it was mentioned that the underage girl was involved with David in 2023, at a time when she was in high school. She chose not to disclose her identity. The first screenshot showed David’s text from June 14, 2023. He wrote:

“holaa okay soo i been up all night thinking logically about you, work, life, relationships and realized something that you'd agree with if u see it the way i do. Straight from my heart i really really really love you, but i have been checking my schedule for the rest of this year and next year, and i'm barely in texas.”

D4vd wrote that he thought long-distance relationships could work if the situation was right, like if the other person could travel with him. However, since she was still in school, it made things difficult. He said he didn’t like keeping secrets and would have preferred a public relationship, but it felt like they had to hide it.

He added that he wanted her to be happy, but since she still had two years left in high school, her feelings about the relationship might change during that time. D4vd added:

“And i would gladly wait for u if we are both in the right headspace when that time comes. I wanna still be here for u though at talk like we did before it got complicated Imao i love and care about you and need to make sure ur not alone. We are still interlinked.”

The singer told the girl that he wanted her to explain what she thought about the situation and not just reply with a simple response.

D4vd’s tour dates cancelled amidst ongoing investigation

Recently, the body of a missing girl, Celeste Rivas, was recovered from a Tesla, which was reported to be owned by D4vd. Following that, an investigation has been launched. According to a report by TMZ, one of Celeste’s teachers spoke to his present students about how Celeste was involved with an LA rapper, and that he taught her a few years ago.

In other news, two of the singer’s Withered 2025 World Tour dates in Los Angeles and San Francisco were cancelled. Before that, his concert in Seattle was also called off. As per reports, D4vd has extended his cooperation with the police authorities in the ongoing investigation.

Meanwhile, Celeste and D4vd had similar tattoos. She had been missing for over a year. Her mother had previously told TMZ that Celeste was in a relationship with a guy named David. Speaking of the conversation, Charles Latibeaudiere from the outlet said:

“It was a very heart-wrenching conversation. She was very upset and said that all she knew that, you know, her daughter had been missing all of this time. She told us that she was aware that there was a boyfriend named David.”

Her body was found in the car in a decomposing state, and authorities attended to it after getting complaints of foul odour.
