Dua Lipa closed the European leg of her Radical Optimism tour with a heartfelt nod to Irish icon Sinéad O’Connor. Performing in Dublin on June 27, 2025, the pop star included a moving rendition of “Nothing Compares 2 U” to her setlist.

From a smaller stage extension surrounded by fans at Aviva Stadium, she introduced the classic track with a simple message:

“It’s such an honor to sing this song tonight. If you know the words, sing along.”

The song, originally written by Prince and made popular by Sinéad O’Connor in 1990, became a global hit and topped the Billboard Hot 100 for four weeks. The “Feel So Different” singer, who passed away in 2023, hailed from Dublin, a fact not lost on the emotional crowd.

Dua Lipa closed out a landmark run of five sold-out stadium concerts with a celebratory toast and heartfelt thanks. After performing before a packed crowd at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium, the pop star headed to a local bar where she successfully completed the Irish tradition of “splitting the G” in a pint of Guinness.
