English singer Jessica Ellen Cornish, aka Jessie J, posted a health update from her surgery. In June 2025, the singer divulged that she had early breast cancer.

However, in a recent Instagram post, she announced that she was cancer-free. The post included a heartwarming video with her son, Sky, taken before her surgery. She also wrote:

“And…I AM OK. Results = I have NO cancer spread. Happy tears are real. Thank YOU for the prayers, the love, the well wishes, the joy and all the positive energy.”

In the video, she was seen asking Sky to repeat these words:

“Say Mommy’s gonna be okay.”

She then enunciated the words slowly, and her son repeated after her. Jessie J expressed her thoughts, writing:

“We called it baby boy. You are my biggest ray of light and with you in my life the darkness will never win.”

The songstress shared that she still needed time to heal and had one more surgery planned to make her breasts look more alike. For the moment, though, she felt thankful and joked about calling herself "The LopJess monster."

In a previous Instagram post from June 27, the songstress explained that one of her earlier posts had been misunderstood. She had shared a list of pros and cons about having the surgery, and the first "pro" she mentioned was complete remission.

However, Jessie J clarified that this was meant as a hopeful statement, not a confirmed fact, since she hadn’t received her test results then.

What did Jessie J say when she announced her cancer diagnosis?

In June 2025, Jessie J shared her cancer diagnosis in a self-recorded video on Instagram. She mentioned that she received the diagnosis before her song No Secrets was launched in April 2025.

She stressed the word “early” as she was holding onto hope. During this time, she underwent various medical tests. She explained that she wanted to talk about it openly because she hadn’t been discussing it much.

She admitted not processing the health scare properly since she had been so focused on her work. Jessie J said:

“I also know how much sharing in the past has helped me, with other people giving me their love and support, and also their own stories. I’m an open book. It breaks my heart that so many people are going through so much – similar and worse. That’s the bit that kills me.”

Jessie J went on to explain that sharing this news wasn’t something she had planned, but she felt it was important to let everyone know. She mentioned that she would still have her ni**les after the surgery, which she saw as a positive side, even though the whole situation felt strange and uncomfortable.

She also pointed out how odd it was to receive this diagnosis while releasing No Secrets and Living My Best Life, which had all been planned before she knew about her condition. She added that she would be stepping away for a while after the Summertime Ball to have her surgery.
